I have a small patch of psoriasis on the back of my head and Scalpicin is a life saver. If I don't use this, I can dig a hole in my head.

I have had very good luck with Bumble & Bumble Tonic Lotion. I had tried probably about a dozen different products over a year and none really worked. The itching would wake me up at night. I went to the Dermatologist who prescribed an ointment which I was supposed to keep on my scalp for hours and was very messy. I bought the prescription. But before using it, saw reviews for the Bumble & Bumble Tonic Lotion on the Seohora web site and decided to try it. It worked and I never tried the prescription. It's one of the few products that I am loyal to and won't do without. I spray it on my scalp after towel drying my hair and lightly rub it in. Suggest you read the reviews on the Sephora website.

I have had problems with itchy scalp for a few years; went to the derm and tried everything. His last prescription for me was an antidepressant!! Needless to say, I'm done with him.

I've been using Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and it works very well.

I suffer from this too.

it seems to get worse with winter and stress.

I am still looking for something good. I didn't love scalpicin.

Best product I have tried is from Nioxin and it is a treatment product. It comes in a small vial that is about about three inches high. I can't think of the name of it. I'll have to check back in.

Try an antihistamine once or twice daily in pill/capsule form. It helps me a lot.

Without knowing the cause, it's hard to offer a solution.

You might want to try adding tea tree oil to your existing shampoo or conditioner. You can also use tea tree oil as a scalp massage, but make sure you mix it with a carrier oil, such as jojoba or grape seed oil. Use one drop of tea tree oil for every drop of the carrier oil. For a scalp massage, counting drops can be tiresome, so I use a quarter teaspoon of tea tree oil with 2 1/5 teaspoons of my carrier oil.

You may also want to see a doctor to see if you have any underlying issue.

Check to see that the ingredients in your shampoo/conditioner aren't from China. They use all sorts of things that could cause you to scratch. Also, check your shower head and see if it also comes from China. The shower filter inside can cause itching on scalp and skin. Don't buy anything from that country.

I'm wondering if you could be more specific and support your statement with links to facts. While you're at it, could you let me know about Canada, Brazil, USA, France, Belgium, Spain, Japan, India, Egypt, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and Sweden to name a few?

I would really appreciate your source on this. Heavens knows the US has never had any products recalled, right?

Lulu, I saw this post yesterday and almost asked for some data to back up such ridiculous assertions. I just moved on instead, but I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who shook my head at her comments.

I use Selsun Blue shampoo. I've used it for years, and it doesn't dry my hair at all!

Biotin makes my scalp itchy. When that happens I use scalpacin. It works right away. This board thinks when I am sayin I T CH I am saying something else. How did you all say that word{#emotions_dlg.scared} I had to add a y, or capitalize the word. They said that word is "not allowed"{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}
