I currently have natural light brown hair that's going gray .... nice silvery gray. For lots of years, I was a "bottle blonde."
I've used John Frieda shampoos forever ..... the blondes when I was blonde and now use both of his brown shades. I like the subtle "glow" they give the gray.
I found two unopened tubes of blonde shampoo when I was digging through some stuff at the back of the linen closet ... and decided to see what happens if I use the blonde shampoo on my brown/gray hair.
WELL ... I love what the blonde does with the gray. Not drab at all. Also a nice glow. Glad I didn't toss the tubes.
(There's no "commitment." I wash my hair every day. It's short and sort of messy shag. I started cutting it myself during the Covid lockdown .... and just continued!)

That is a fun successful experiment!
Found John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo for color treated hair. May try that on my medium brown hair.

I have always thought light brown hair ages the best. How nice you found the right shampoo. I assume they still make it.

Most shampoos and products for blonde hair have blueing in it. It is used to keep blonde hair from getting brassy.
Products for gray/silver and white hair also have blueing in them to keep the hair from going yellow.
Some products are sold as being for both blonde and silver/ hair.
The blueing works for both colors of hair.

@ALRATIBA Is the blonde shampoo ones w/ purple or blue casts? I still use purple shampoo every few months to brighten my grey areas even though I have med. brown lowlights. Those are not affected that I can tell.
I started cutting my hair during Covid. Since I was growing out all layers from a medium length pixie, it was just a matter of of cutting it straight across all the way around...especially the neckline which could look like a mullet quite quickly.

My gray is very light ... not white but getting close to it.
I had to go look in the mirror .... the shampoo itself is light yellow cream but it does seem to leave a slight blue cast. I use a bit of Fructus Style Shine and that brightens it all up. And, of course, hair spray.
Whatever all is happening on my head looks pretty good! And, since it all washes out ....absolutely no commitment.
