It's amusing that the hosts' makeup and hair look so much better when the TSV is makeup or haircare. If they use these products all the time, why don't they look that stunning all the time?

Because some professionals are better than others?

That's certainly true when I go to local professionals - some just turn me out better than others do.

I suspect that's true for QVC, etc., too. The crew that readies the hosts for a décor show isn't the same crew readying them for a Chavez show. IMO

I think it is just something that is fabricated on these boards. Chaz just seems to get more 'press' so people try to create a buzz around Nick. But there is none. It was just one poster's mission to raise the 'name' because there has been no chatter at all about him- and just in the last few months there is. I think whatever 'futile stabs' Nick does take at Chaz it is just him trying to find his glory back at the Q.

But really if I were to use NC products I wouldn't buy them here. There are so many cheaper places to purchase his stuff.

Exactly. They're sales people selling stuff. I highly doubt a vendor would "refuse" to work with any of the sales people, $$ - that's the ticket!

But, I will bite. As you mention, his shows are mostly relegated to overnight hours, those are the hosts that will be presenting. I doubt QVC would change the hosts' schedules. He was on PMS with Shawn and on FN Beauty with Sandra, not too long ago. I have seen him paired with Amy quite a bit in the past, as with Jacque (who launched WEN TSV yesterday) and was on with Lisa R. I don't watch all day and night so there are probably others.

I am not excusing Nick for his remarks nor Chaz for vilifying shampoo. It is what it is. Hosts will sell whatever is on offer in their shows. No one has any way of knowing whether behind the scenes either Nick OR Chaz castigate hosts for their choice of hair products. Unless, of course, you know something.....????

I guess I don't think that deeply about a shopping channel. I've never given a thought about it and don't really care if he does or doesn't.

ETA: but yes, I have noticed Nick's constant jabs and I stopped watching him. I enjoyed watching him before but he started getting too frantic and I think he should focus more on his products and what they can do for hair rather than worry about constantly trying to put another product down. It is no longer enjoyable to watch.
