My sister uses John Frieda Foam and loves it. She did say she uses a lighter shade than she would in another brand. She found the Medium blond is similar to most light brown shades.

I'm a little confused if I want medium brown I should use a light brown or should I use the dark brown?

With Hollywood going all blonde, red just isn't as popular right now with the masses. I love my red and pray Vidal Sassoon keeps making it!

I know! Us redheads must be a dying breed! What color Vidal Sasoon do you use?

Medium vibrant red 5RR. I'm a natural dishwater blonde, so it comes out nice and vibrant. Loads of people love the color, but color takes different on each of us, so remember that when you dye yours.

Not onlythat but the color can take different on me using the exact product, same timing etc, everytime I do it. I chose this color because the description and photo of color LOOK like an exact match to the one I get at the wholesaler. So tomorrow IthinkI will do it. I am leaving in a week for a trip, and want to get it settled before then. Sometimes if the color is a bit dark, or a bit light I do an all over glaze and it works well.

I too found the colors ran darker so if you want medium brown, I would suggest light brown. Medium brown in John Frieda would be like dark brown in other brands.

Re: anyone use John Freida Foam Coloring?

Thanks everyone!!. I did use it. and itcovered my roots really, well, and is evenly colored. It is sort of dull though, I like more of a "halo" of red when Iget in the light. So now that the color is good, I will just put a burgundy red glaze over it, and it will be perfect.

I love the process! How easy the foam is. I used to use this this over color called Color Pulse till they discontinued it. It was foam, and I loved that.

I have used it. I found it very drying.

Loreal has foam? Ithink of all the home color kits, Lorealis my least favorite. They are never true to color. However, thier professionallines are wonderful. JMHO.

The foam is probably drying because alcohol is the 2nd ingredient.

Re: anyone use John Freida Foam Coloring?

I've had experience with other foams running dark, so I bought a light blonde shade instead of my usual medium blonde. It didn't cover my gray at all, and left my hair feeling like straw. No other haircolor had ever left my hair feeling like that. I would try the new L'Oreal foam, but no medium golden blonde shade. I don't know what L'Oreal has against medium golden blonde, but they also discontinued all the golden shades in their HealthyLook creme gloss color. They said the golden shades weren't selling well. Strange!
