I did notice that the site was very slow yesterday likely due to the new changes.
TY, You're probably right about that. I added the password back on the 25th when I became aware of the option. Add to that, I delete cookies and website data and relaunch the browser at least once a day.
I'm not being directed to any other page, and I'm not having the problem with emoticons others have reported. (I've tried Firefox, Safari and Chrome and they're all working fine on my iMac -- I never use IE, though, so someone else would have to speak to that one.)
However: We shouldn't have to delete cookies so frequently just to get this website to work properly. I've complained to QVC about this, but I don't have any confidence they'll make the site more user-friendly. Every time they change the software, they seem to be content to wait it out while their users figure out how to fix their own problems. Very unprofessional of QVC.
Yes, I think you're right as I also frequently clear my history and cookies and I'm not being redirected to another page now and I'm not having any navigating problems. I bookmark my own activity page and that's how I get to the QVC community boards and then I login to QVC.
What happened on on Monday or Tuesday was that when I logged in with a pin using either an ipad or a desktop windows computer is that I would be able to log in but I would be sent to the page where I could update my password. I know from reading the Q Talk board that there's been mention of being able to have a more secure password option and that is what QVC is doing now, requiring customers to create a secure password to log in and once you create a password, your 4 digit pin can't be used to log in to the QVC site, your pin can only be used for automated phone ordering.
A soft rollout means that QVC wasn't advertising the password change option to the public for about a week or so in case there were any problems. I'm guessing that by also having the public stagger their password changes that it doesn't overwhelm the QVC servers or crash their website too. Can you imagine if every QVC customer tried to update their password at the same time?
At this point if customers are having login or navigating problems QVC should probably address it publicly.
