Wheat based CC's vs. Soy CC's

Hi all. Just wanted to make sure I understand this correctly and I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. The CC's with wheat are TT, CA, LAV, SAM and Fig. The soy based ones are POM, 613 and the Seasonals. BGT is rice based. Am I correct on this? I am finding that my hair reacts best when I use either the POM, BGT or the Seasonals for my first cleanse and 613 mixed with any of those for my 2nd. I do ok with TT when I use it with the 613, but the others seem to just frizz my hair. Do any of you find that you do better with the soy based cc's?

Oh, and also one more question on the seasonal package offered in September. My understanding is that 32 oz seasonals are offered on A-D and included in that are the fall, winter, summer and spring seasonals - is that correct? This will be my first September using WEN, so I just want to make sure I understand what is offered on the seasonals since my hair seems to react so well to them. Thank you so much for your responses!

Re: Wheat based CC's vs. Soy CC's

I don't find a difference in the base, I find a difference in the formula as a whole. None of the core "Universals" work for me without leaving my hair dry. I need more moisture. Fig I can use alone or mix with a universal. Pom was one of the worst for me.

I can use many seasonals alone, but some leave my hair dry and I also need to use Fig with those.

Six Thirteen I can use alone and get enough moisture, but I don't use it too often because of the protein. Many people do well with protein, but my hair doesn't like it if I use it too often.

Re: Wheat based CC's vs. Soy CC's

So far, I do best with SAM (wheat) & POM (soy), and the seasonals (soy). I haven't, and probably won't, try FIG or CA. I can't use 613 more than once every couple of weeks. I have BGT but haven't used it yet.

Re: Wheat based CC's vs. Soy CC's

I use all three formulas (wheat, soy and rice),at the same time, so I get the benefits of each kind.

Re: Wheat based CC's vs. Soy CC's

OP, It sounds like what you are responding to isn't really the bases, it's the level of aminos, mainly. You are having success with BGT and 613 and seasonals. The seasonals have stepped up aminos and so does BGT. 613 has uber aminos. I mainly use seasonals, 613 sometimes, and I also use TT, POM and GR SAM. If your hair is porous, then you will frizz without the right amount amount of aminos. That could be why you don't respond as well to the other formulas. So my guess would be that kids WEN would also not be for you. It's rice based like BGT, but doesn't have stepped up aminos. As far as seasonal AD, in the past the 32oz was offered on an AD and was the only way to get seasonals in a 32. We know we are going to get a chance in Fall of all three Fall seasonals. We don't know if it will be an AD. We guess it will be offered each season, but that isn't even confirmed. I would plan on an AD, though.
