Re: What's Your Makeup Kryptonite

Mascara - still seeking my holy grail of mascaras.  To a lesser degree all eye makeup.

@Jordan2

I love lip gloss and lipstick.  I am the same as you!!

I know women who have 1 or 2 lipsticks and that's it.  I always think -- lucky you, you must be so decisive.  I am never satisfied or so it seems.  I find one and think -- oh, that's pretty great.  But, 2 days later, I'm ready for the next best thing!!!

Makeup.........?  Not so much.  I only buy what I need and only go shopping for lipsticks, mascaras, etc., when I run out of what I have.    But, I have to stay out of fragrance shops -- all manner of lotions and potions.  If I enter the BBW at the mall, I'm doomed.  Lost.  Not to be seen for several hours.  Surely, there must be some fragrance I haven't tried or some lotion I haven't slathered on my body?

I wore the same fragrance cologne/lotion/body powder for 25 years and now I kind of go nutsy trying every bath and body product and every fragrance out there.

Re: What's Your Makeup Kryptonite

My makeup kryptonite is definitely lipstick. I probably haven't left the house without it since my teens. I just love the way it looks and since foundation isn't a necessity, blush or mascara.....lipstick I could wear alone and feel "dressed."

I love trying new cosmetic items but still find lipstick does the most for me.

Re: What's Your Makeup Kryptonite

For me it's eyeshadow palettes.  I just love the way the shadows look all together.  But then it takes forever to use up.  I used to buy several palettes a year, but now I'm trying to buy none or no more than one per year.  I realized that it takes at least a year of constant use to finish one palette and I've gotten overwhelmed with all the palettes just sitting there.  And powders do go bad eventually.  They become drier, chalkier and less pigmented.

I love eyeshadows too. It is fun to play around with a variety of shades and use various application techniques.

Eyeshadows and lipglosses.  I have been into cream shadows and liners lately and bought a bunch during Bobbi Brown's F & F sale.
