Re: What's So Special About BGT?

Thanks everyone for the info! I think I will try it. Can anyone describe what it smells like? I have really bad migraines and I had to send the FAS back because of the smell. I can't use LAV for the same reason. I think I may be returning 613 too. I really have very healthy hair and I think using WEN will only make it healthier. I think if I were to grow it out or have longer hair a lot of these formulas would be more beneficial for my hair.

It's a very light scent - not floral or woodsy - someone described it as standing under a waterfall - just a clean, light green scent.

Re: What's So Special About BGT?

Well, I just washed my hair and blow-dried it an hour ago, first time using BGT. Normally I use Tea Tree or Cucumber Aloe. Tea Tree has been best for me so far. But..

I noticed the BGT has no menthol and rinses out faster. It seems lighter in formula as well. The scent is a light floral-herbal. I actually prefer how Tea Tree smells but if you don't like menthol, you'll love this. My hair came out VERY full and bouncy.

I have medium short (below ear) color treated fine hair and I'm over 60 so the volume is down these days. I have to say, the result is about the best I've gotten out of Wen. My hair doesn't feel weighed down and it feels thicker and the body is excellent.

The best description I can make of the scent is green-floral perfume.

I may have to order the BGT just to smell it for myself. My nose is so crazy with what will set it off. I thought I could tolerate the smell of 613 but one whiff and I knew it was going to be too overpowering for me. I'm so glad I didn't order the perfume then. I'm glad their is a WEN for everyone. I think FIG might be worth looking at in the winter if my hair needs more hydration. I am loving the POM though.

You won't find BGT overpowering at all. I also couldn't tolerate FAS and found it overpowering. I also didn't like the scent of LAV and found the formula very drying for my hair. Although, I haven't tried it yet you may like the new fall seasonal since so many have commented how light the scent is and it doesn't linger.

Oh I used FTP this morning and I loved the smell. However it wasn't as love match for my hair in terms of what I need. The formula wasn't conditioning enough for my curls. I have review up about it. I really wanted to love it. I agree the smell is wonderful and light. I will have to try the BGT later on.

I've been using WEN for about a month and took advantage of the TSV's in POM and SAM and got FTP as well. I've been seeing a lot of posts about BGT. I know it has an amazing smell but what type of hair is is suited for. I used the product recommendation at Chaz's site and I'm not getting any BGT and I played around with it several times. I have naturally curly, wavy hair that is short in a pixie. I let it air dry and the texture is more soft than coarse but super thick. I don't know if BGT is right for me but I've been doing really well with POM.

I love it! I have the gallon and have been using JUST BGT since I received it....my hair feels amazing and has gotten SO long! Then again I love every formulation and they all work for me.....I do not like the scent of the fig or pom...too bad because they work well in my hair.

I also found BGT to be too drying for my hair. I love the scent, but my definitely didn't love it's performance.
