@Tweetybrd Quite early here 5:30, but I'll tell you I've been usng RMS pencil (which is a powder textured pencil) to fill in any sparse areas and the RMS powder compact with her special brush in medum brown which is a taupe/ brown shade. I use the powder after the pencil to lightly fill in the rest of my brows and brush through with the spoolie on the end of her brush to blend the color through.
Yes, it's more expensive than most brow systems I've tried, but I could never find the right color and pencils are hard and difficult to get a natural look, I agree. I purchase from her site since sometimes it comes as a bundle with pencil, brow powder compact and the brush which is the key.

I can't get my brows right for anything! They are uneven -- one is a good bit fuller than the other and one is darker than the other! Yikes --- I have tried getting them tinted and one ends up way darker and it's not a good look.
I have used a Maybelline product in a tube that is like a small mascara. I have had about the best luck with it. You have to go easy though because just like with regular mascara, you can get too much, but at least you can blend it in and also wipe off the wand so you get less product.
Another product is by Benefit, so it is more expensive, and it has an applicator which looks like a tiny fork.
I think with everything, it's trial and error! At least when you try something new, you can usually return it!

I prefer a waxy pomade over any other type of brow product, really keeps them in place

The best brow powder ever made, the one from IT, was discontinued!!! I still have some, but not much. It was the absolute best!

I also use RMS brow powder in the compact. Back 2 Brow. It is the only thing that doesn't look waxy and fake.
I haven't tried her pencil because the compact does everything I need to be done to them.
I use the light color. I have greying light brown hair.

My favorite brow powder is Joan Rivers Great Hair Day. It's for root touch-up, but I use it for brows.
Have used since it first aired on QVC which has been many years ago.
It comes with a brush for applying on roots. I bought a different brow brush with spoolie on the end and it works perfectly for my brows.

@AngelPuppy1 You could buy Just For Men Beard & Mustache Dye & just do the lighter brow to match the darker. It also will look fuller.
I color my brows every few weeks.
My hair was dark brown but I quit coloring & it is like an ashy blonde/grey now.
My brows are mostly brown but I get some greys so I color them with Just For Men Blonde.

@Tweetybrd Another option that is easy & looks very natural.
NYX Lift & Snatch Brow Tint Pen. About $12.
It's really easy to use. I use Taupe. It's neutral & not too dark, so it just fills in sparse areas.
After it dries I brush my brows out & it looks nice.
