Re: What are you working on using up, or what do you have a bunch of?

I am using up various shampoos and conditioners. I am always looking for something to decrease frizz and add shine but haven't found that perfect one yet. I will use the conditioners as shave cream on my legs sometimes to use them up faster. I think my hair texture has changed since menopause - I never had these issues with my hair before. Gotta love all the changes of getting older.

Eye creams. I keep buying them and then go back to the old one I was using.  I have to learn to control myself.

I do not have the patience to use up skin care products or makeup that I don't like or that I get tired of. I tend to buy a lot of lipsticks and even multiples of the same color and then I get tired of them and put them away. After a while I will go through and toss them out. I'm always looking for unscented products like bath washes and face washes and unscented lipsticks.

What I'm not buying in every color is nail polishes. I find that after a while they separate or go bad. I think I've found the perfect colors used together -- OPI Nail Envy and the OPI Nail Envy Bubble Bath color. Used together they last quite a long while on my fingernails and toenails.

Because I'm always coloring my hair at the roots I have multiple boxes of hair color as it takes a half a box to color my roots once a week or so.

One thing I've been doing is using the amount recommended of the products instead of using just the bare amount and  trying to extend the time between when I need to re order.  It seems that I am getting better results from using the right amount too.

@wilma@I found that schwartzcoff shampoo and conditioner work best for my old porous and very frizzy hair.It is not expensive either.

Lipsticks/glosses -- but it'll never happen! Lol!! I have gotten much better at buying fewer of everything else, and getting rid of products I don't like. I also have a skincare regimine in place that has probably put my skin in its best shape since high school. Not kidding. I don't look as young as I did in HS, but my skin is more clear, radiant and hydrated than I think it's ever been - at least that I can recall. So I'm sticking with it! It's funny -- skincare items rarely "tug" at me anymore. Lippies and blushes, however......................... Smiley Wink Smiley Wink
