Re: Wen ..does it really work

[ Edited ]

🕵 This is NOT about haters. It's about people who suffered permanent hair loss, and other unfortunate side effects, after using Wen HairCare products, and many, many cases that were documented by dermatoligists  and physicians, and it can't be denied. On line documentation is readily available, along with photos, for anyone who cares to view them.

Do you actually believe that Chaz Dean and Wen settled a lawsuit for a total of $26.25 million just to silence a few people who don't happen to  like him?

"I've also seen the influencer "Hot and Flashy" on YouTube wax poetic about Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore shampoo and conditioner. Maybe she gets paid for endorsing it, but she really sincerely has been enthusiastic about this brand for a while. She really feels it makes her hair come out the best, shiny, tames the frizz, etc."

I've just finished a bottle of this Oribe shampoo and conditioner, and it's average at best. My favorited are Keratase and Davines.

Re: Wen ..does it really work

I don't have to eggagerate...Wen transformed my hair many years ago and I'm about a 20 year user. My hair was in the best condition it had ever been in. Many years ago I had lost about 1/3-1/2 of my hair after surgery. And prior to that I had destroyed my hair with straightening products. Because of Wen, I have been able to twice grow my hair long which I had never been able to do before. Second day hair was almost as good as the first. I say almost because my hair is very curly and after sleeping it.s always a mess until I fix it. But was just as clean as day 1.  I also lived in a 150 year old house with just as old pipes. I had a hair catcher and cleared it during my shower and never had any clogged drains from the Wen.

People have allergies to many things and various reactions to ingredients whether inside our bodies (food) or outside. I had an allergic reaction to one or more ingredients in a Perricone face cream which made my face and neck swell. Someone I worked with asked me if I had lip injections!!!!!  There are also lawsuits to many other hair products for hair loss as well. They just don't get the attention here since QVC doesn't sell them.

But also , one needs to follow the directions and use a product as it's intended. Then you can sdjust to your needs. Wen does have a bit of a learning curve. Try it out if you wish and if not there is more for the rest of us!!!!

I also feel that when someone dislikes a product, there is also a bit of exaggeration as well. People also dismiss anything else going on in their lives that caused some hair loss. Many things have an effect on hair growth. Any changes in diet, vitamin deficiency, weight loss, weight gain, surgery, medications, stress, hormonal changes, age related changes, medical issues such as hypothyroidism, menopause, diabetes, liver issues,alcohol.....etc. If a persons hair after many years did not go back to her norm then maybe they should look at other factors.

A few get it here but this is a forum to help one another more than others which I did as well as others.

This has nothing to do with the Product of Chaz Dean and those whom can tolerate it.

I wish him well and those who can tolerate it.

Again, many can't and It's not a pretty experience if one loses their hair, etc. which is proven in the court system.

We are adults here asking for the experience.  Mine was  very bad sadly. I tried.

Ps.  I'm on hormones, am pretty healthy, very thin as someone mentioned.

It's an allergy for pete's sake.

@Kitty Galore  - Why don't you go on the Wen forum under My Favorite Brand and ask Wen users?  All you're getting here is Wen-haters.  I'm a 10 year user and have had wonderful results.

No clogged drains, cysts, drain damage, bugs, or having to regrout my entire bathroom because of Wen.

@San Antonio Gal

DITTO!  As we know, the haters come out of the woodwork when Chaz is on.

I'm not a Chaz hater at all.  I just related my experience.  He seems like a sweet man and an animal lover.

Re: Wen ..does it really work

I use his 613 on the very tips of my ends after I shampoo and condition with store bought stuff. ---613 apparently is a daily shampoo, OH, sorry "cleanser". Not sure what his adversion to calling shampoo, shampoo is.  I use it at the very end, every other day when I shampoo.

A box of travel packs can be found here on the Q. The scent is wonderful and the amount of packs will last me a very long time.

Does it work? Hard to say. I do like that it seems to bring bounce back to my naturally curly ends. So, I guess in that sense it does.

Re: Wen ..does it really work

I like WEN but i do alternate with Tweaked.  WEN is great first day shampoo but for me 2nd day is a bit limp.  I have thin hair so that dos not help.  You MUST rinse it out very well.  I do not use any leave in.  Never had a problem with clogged drains and I have been using it for many years.   It never made my hair fall out.  My thinning is old age and hereditary.

Re: Wen ..does it really work

Not for me--made my scalp and face itch--and I HATE having to do all that prep work with no water  ---just let me wet,  suds and rinse-- and outta the shower
