I've never had the rubber part go bad on a bottle, but on several of my 4 oz bottles as others have mentioned the top doesn't screw back on straight...it sit crooked. I have a brand new tt and fig in the 4 oz that I just got around Christmas time and they are like this. I keep them upright at all times and am very careful they do not tip over because I don't know if they would leak or not. I've never had an issue with the 1 oz or the 2 oz bottles. *knock on wood*

Forget the 30 days, these are defective. Send them back and I bet you get your refund. Yes, it would be nice to store them upright, but these bottles have to withstand travel when they are not kept upright.

Mine is the 4 oz. bottle of Summer Mango Coconut. Thanks for all the feed back maybe someone from WEN will see this thread and take a good look into the problem. not sure what the answer could be but it is important for WEN to know what some of the issues are with their bottling of oils.

Well today when I went to do an oil treatment I pulled one out and realized that the rubber on the top part of it had completely broken away, leaving my oil all over the bag! The other oils were all like this too! So basically I have 6 empty oil bottles, all with broken tops. Never buying the oil again. What a waste of money.
That happened to two of my one-ounce oils, but has not happened to the others and has never happened on any of my 4-oz oils and I have 8 of those. The only oils it's happened to were bottles that weren't stored upright and weren't handled gently and tossed in areas where things pushed against the rubber top and repeatedly bent it. If you store them upright OR protect the rubber stopper from bending, it should be fine. When I travel with a small bottle of oil, I make sure it's surrounded by taller rigid items that protect it from being bumped or squashed. You could probably rubber band a cardboard ring around the bottle top so that it extends beyond the rubber part, too.
I don't know if this is a product defect or user error. If I had been more careful with my storage, mine wouldn't have broken. I guess I could say that Chaz didn't do enough to idiot-proof them, but then I think there's some onus on me to not be an idiot, isn't there?

Could be Chynna, but I have always stored my bottle on a shelf...standing upright but my issue is not the disintegration of my dropper it is the threads not matching up from dropper to bottle.

croemer, I totally understand what you are saying. I had it happen to a new 4 oz bottle immediately after I opened it. Your right though the threads don't line up and you don't get the tight seal. Luckily I had an old dropper from an empty 4 oz bottle that fit it just fine.
But yes, everyone should keep their oils upright for sure!!

Right, but that's a totally different issue from the one the OP posted about. It's not even the same bottle size or type.

Just have to say that this is the best thing I have read on here in a long time.
Perfect!
