Who are you demanding this from -- QVC, or all online sellers of beauty products at large?  Unless there's some specific heritage of making a product (for example Laura Geller's baked makeup is made in Italy), you will be hard-pressed to find any country of origin information for any makeup from online sites.

I used to wear Estee Lauder foundation years ago.  Their online site actually states that their ingredients may change from time to time, so consumers should check the actual product packaging at time of purchase for the best ingredient list.  I certainly cannot imagine them being locked into country of origin at any given time for all the online world to see.  So I stopped using them.

Plus, there's pride and/or glamour to something being made in the USA, or Italy.  You can bet that would be stated online if that was the case.  I've never heard a brand boast when it's made in China, so there's no surprise that information is lacking.

I am more diligent to search for the words online that the product is "100% cruelty free."  That I have found, and that is the makeup I use.

Other than that, best to do what you have been doing, going in person to places like Ulta and Sephora to see if you can find that information.

My medical insurance allows me $50 credit each quarter to purchase over-the-counter products from a catalog.  I ordered toothpaste for sensitive teeth and when I received it I saw that it was made in China.  I promptly threw it in the trash!

@Caaareful Shopper   I noticed with Bobbi Brown that her makeup is made in Canada.  All vendors should disclose where their makeup is made, in fact, it should be a requirement.  No, i do not want to wear a foundation made in China or some other countries.  Cat Tongue

I don't know why but it seems like if it's made in Italy then sellers are usually proud to say so. But if it's from China ...then not so much and it becomes just 'imported'. Beats me.

@Sugipine  To say a cosmetic product is made or comes from Italy, France or Europe adds mystery and somehow more credibility to the beauty/quality of the product. Beats me?

Walking into the Ulta near me is dangerous!    Last time I was there,  the carpeting was as filthy as any I've ever seen. The place was disorganized and the clerks showed no inclination to provide any assistance.

I hope the Ulta you can go to to read the labels is much cleaner.

I have never been an Ulta fan.

I’m not only concerned where products are made, what’s in them, but also am I getting a “copy” or my authentic skincare, especially when ordered online.

Keep in mind that a label may just say Distributed By and give a name and address in the USA, that does not mean it was actually mfg. here.
