During sandal season I get a gel pedicure every month for 43 dollars + tip. In the colder months I do a regular pedicure without polish for 33 dollars + tip. I live in northern Delaware and that is considered a reasonable price for my area.

I do my own. I have a paraffin wax machine, the sugar scrub, a heating pad and a foot soak of my choice of warm salts or bubbles.
I am very careful of my cuticles. That's what concerns me the most at a spa. I push mine back, not cut.

been doing my own medi/pedi since high school . Simple and easy and I don't have to get in my car and drive somewhere . I don't like my feet touched , especially using something on calluses . I have my own tools and do it all myself and do a great job if I do say so myself lol . People will ask me where go for my mani/pedis , they can't beileve I do my own !
I did however go for the works on my wedding day !

I think I paid $60 plus tip. But it was my first time to a new salon and the woman had to do alot of correcting and repair on a few of my nails, from me moving and unpacking. Going soon so expect it won't cost that much. She did a really beautiful job last time. Haven't had a pedi yet.

Me too! Even though I can afford it, I refuse to pay for something that isn't enjoyable for me. The few times I had a manicure, I didn't like waiting for the polish to completely dry. It's funny because my husband hears my friends talking about the cost and frequency of their manicures, and he'll tell me how happy he is that I don't spend that kind of money on my nails. Now, as for highlights and color for my hair, that's a different story! Happy for those who enjoy their manicures.

I see no problem with paying for a manicure or pedicure if that is what you choose to do and you can afford it. What I do see a problem with is the lecture tone comments that one can do it by oneself. The OP asked what people paid, not whether they opted to do it themselves. Some of these comments were matter-of-fact, not lecturing, but they were not relevant to the OP question which was directed to cost in a professional, commercial setting. Reminds me of many posts where people have an "agenda" to spout even if it is only tangentially related to the original post. Better to start a new thread than to jump into a thread with something that is not relevant.

I have my nails dipped and a gel pedi. Cost $100 plus a $20 tip. I have two individuals so 10 per person. Worth it to me.
