Philosophy Pure Grace Dupe??

Hello ladies.... A while back someone here gave me a recommendation for a good Philosophy Pure Grace dupe, I forget what it is. Anyone have recommendations for something like PG?

It's my absolute Philosophy fragrance, and one of my overall favorite fragrances, especially for Spring/Summer. Unfortunately...since Philosophy got purchased, I think we all know their fragrances have never been the same, and it has no staying power anymore. I used to smell it on myself all day and get compliments. Sadly, no more.

I'd love any good recommendations.

The one before someone recommended I recall checking Amazon, but it wasn't available then...then I forgot about it. Wanted to check again, but can't recall what it was. Was thinking, possibly "Clean"...but not sure.

Any suggestions is appreiciated. Any Pure Grace users/lovers especially, since you know what it is to look for to match that.

Also Commodity Milk/Marshmallow, I tried at Sephora the other day, and I think I'll buy trial size next time I'm there.

I think I sprayed too much on, so it got a little heady, but I liked it...I'd need less on next time. You know...sometimes in the store you can overdo it, not thinking you can smell it, surrounded by other product, then you leave & realize you definitely sprayed enough on!

Sorry, I don't have a dupe recommendation, @amyb, but I'm wondering what strength of spray fragrance you're referring to that doesn't last anymore? Eau de Toilette (EDT) is common in the "grace" line but I've also seen another spray that's only called "fragrance". I don't know what to think of that, if it's an actual cologne form or body spray. Aside from 100% perfume, Eau de Parfum (EDT) should last the longest. They say that layering over the matching lotion or body cream enhances the staying power of whatever perfume form is being used. My experience is that the EDT was weak didn't last - so disappointing. That said, it could have been a me thing where I couldn't smell it on myself but others may have. My smeller isn't as keen as it used to be. Even so, I've become more mindful of purchasing Eau de Parfum whenever I'm getting any new fragrance. With my recent Lataffa acquisitions, I am noticing scent on my clothing the next day. I just ordered some Amazing Grace EDP so I hope I won't be disappointed.

@JeanLouiseFinch You are right...Philosophy sells all types of fragance sprays from "body mist", to EDT and EDP...and the EDP has the best chance of staying power. However my PG IS EDP...smells lovely when I sniff the spray bottle. Smells lovely when I first spray it on myself...but then completely dissipates. Years past it melded with my body warmth, only get deeper and I (and others) could smell it on me all day. Weird. Disappointing.

I keep trying because I love it so. Have 1/2 bottle left of this to use, then we'll see. I've tried layering also...this came in a Christmas gift, with a little travel sized PG makeup bag full of the gel, creams etc.

@amyb Many years ago I wore Amazing Grace. To get some staying power, I applied it over lotion. Somehow it smelled good longer, but I think all those fragrances have been watered down.

@Desertdi Is the "fixitive" specifically what gives a fragrance staying power?

And ok Euro Union...but same as in food, often doesn't transfer here in US 'til we do our own regulations. But sounds like that's what they took out here too?

Anyhow, not the same. In the last 8 years, I've had Fresh Cream, (though that bottle says nothing...don't know if it was just "spray" (vague enough Philosophy??), or EDT, likely not EDP...they do like to advertise that. I've had Sea of Love. And PG. All no strength or staying power minutes after I spray on.

Bottles from 10 years ago or more, Falling In Love, AG, and my PG from then were better and I could smell on me.

I bought the Pure Grace TSV a year ago (holiday set) that includes the shower gel, body lotion, hand cream and EDP. The scent is very nice and lasts all day. I usually layer (body cream with EDP spritz over it). I don't see the need for a dupe

The dupe for Pure Grace was Clean Ultimate, but I think it may have been discontinued.

I found Carriere by Gendarme to be the closest match. I used to mix it with PG and the men's version of Gendarme to make it last longer. I discovered it here on the boards. If a 2011'ish if you could believe......
