WEN experts, help for a beginner please

Hi, I had tried WEN about 6 years ago, 4 pack discovery kit, with SAM, TT, fig and lavender. At that time I could not get any of them to work on my hair. Watching the presentations, I am getting very tempted to order and try again. I'm 55, color my hair, it is fine. I don't know if I should start with 613, try SAM again, or POM? I also read where some have liked the kids CC. When I tried WEN before, after a couple of uses, my hair just looked like a grease bomb. At that time I did wash my hair daily, but now since I color it i just shampoo every other or every third day. I think my hair always washes out to brassy colors. Also, I have used Redkin, Kerastases and others in the past too. Any help is appreciated in what to start with and how to get great results! I thought I did everything correctly last time?
