About 6 months ago I purchased WEN for the first time - it was a set of six!   Tried it for cleaning my hair, but my hair felt so weighted/heavy after using it and would not hold a curl.

Left it in the shower to use occasionally just as a conditioner.  I would put a super small amount just on the ends of my hair and it worked ok for that purpose.

While in the shower this a.m. I forgot that I had not replaced my empty shampoo, so all I had to use was WEN.  Used it as directed and again my hair is terrible.  I'm having a very bad hair day today!

Has anyone else had the same experience?    I don't want to throw it out as I spent, what I consider, to be a lot of money for it.  So I guess I'll continue to use it only as a conditioner, but since I use so little, and I have so many bottles, it could last me a lifetime!

Many people have said the same thing about it.  Like any other product, it's not for everyone.

However if you're interested, I would suggest asking the regulars in the WEN forum about your problem with it.  There are a lot of tricks of the trade they use with their WEN for the various hair types.  The way it's recommended to use on air doesn't work for everyone.

The ladies are very helpful and might give you different ways to use up your products.  For instance, I use my WEN Cleansing Conditioners as a hand and/or body wash.  They can be used as a face wash also, and even a face mask.

@BunSnoop

Wen didn't work well for me either and I tried many types, but luckily I was able to give them away to friends who had good luck with it, or wanted to at least try it.

I had too much shedding of my long fine hair using Wen, but many users LOVE it.

I have no use for a product that suggests you use so many pumps to get the job done.  And I've also read how using so much product has been clogging drains.  Back before WEN got it's own board, I did read several of the threads and when someone complained, the suggestion was to use more product and then rinse, rinse, rinse.  No thanks.

After clogging my shower drain and causing hair loss my remaining Wen was great for washing my cashmere sweaters.

I do like and use some of the styling products and the wonderful scents, just not the cleansing conditioner.

The 'cool water rinse' was a deal breaker too for me!

NO possible way I can use cool water on my body in the shower, my bathroom is always steaming after my showers, LOL!

I started using WEN exclusively in June.  Started with the cleansing conditioners, then addded the styling cream, treatment oil & mousse along with the botanical scalp treatment that I use almost every night.  I can honestly say my hair is thicker and for some reason, wavier.  I don't find that it weighs my hair down at all and I love that I no longer have the "frizzies".  Fortunately there are a lot of other choices out there, I hope you find one that works well for you.

@KingstonsMom That would be a deal-breaker for me too.  The worst part of the shower for me is when it's time to get out.

Not every product is for everyone.  I'm a 10 year Wen user and it's been a godsend for my thick hair.

Also, I've never rinsed with cool/cold water and my drains have never been clogged.
