WEN WOMAN, etc. Don't you think the CHEETOS comments were insensitive? I didn't find them funny...In fact all those CHEETOS, packaging & orange fingers comments were offensive. Isn't the forum a place to go for advice and/or sharing experiences with WEN? Certainly not a place for ridicule?

I thought the Tea Tree flavor of Wen caused some hair loss. I threw it out. I didn"t have a problem with Sweet Almond Mint, but it didn't make my fine straight hair gorgeous so i never bothered buying it again.

There are many causes for losing your hair. It can be caused by stress, an allergy to food, or a product applied topically or certain medications. You can develop an allergy suddenly to something you have used for years.

It is almost impossible for a physician to determine the exact cause. I would suggest that you think back to the time when your hair first started to thin. What did you do differently? Was there a death in the family or some other high stress incident? New drug...birth control pills? Skin contact with hubby's testosterone medication?

You can always stop using WEN for a few months and see if there is new hair growth. If there is, then stop using it.

I think the Law Firms are grabbing at straws here. Even if WEN does cause the hair to fall out for some people, as long as it grows back when they stop using it, there would be no reason to request compensation.

Heck, some people are allergic to milk and it has caused them quite a bit of distress, but I've never see anyone consult an attorney to get compensation from the cow.

Because Chaz is a millionaire, the lawyers will try to line their pockets.

And, NO, I am not a WEN user. I tried it, but didn't like it.

makes about as much sense as the one that continued to use it for a year while her hair was falling out the entire time! Meanwhile I think I'm going to join that cheeto lawsuit. They make my fingers orange

I have used Wen for about 4 years. We also live in a house with well water (terrible water). My hair is highlighted with bleach. I have really loved Wen and have pretty healthy hair, but not like the Wen models. I have noticed that the sides of my hair seem damaged and thinner then the rest of my hair. I started reading about Wen hair loss and decided to stop using it for awhile. That experiment lasted for 2 months. I used Kerastase products (and a couple other high end ones) and at first I was pretty excited that my hair looked a little better. Then my hair started looking worse then ever. My sides looked like they were fried. I tried mostly all sulfate free shampoos during this time and they were no better then ones with sulfates. The hair I was losing was exactly the same amount I was losing while using Wen. I've just returned to using Wen a couple weeks ago, and have concluded the following: Wen really is more gentle on your hair than anything that lathers. The water you have coming out of your shower really does affect the outcome of how your hair responds. (we even have a shower filter). And colored hair will never look or feel as healthy as virgin hair, no matter what you use on it. As far as Wen and hair loss goes, I think it all depends on the individual. I started thinking it was making my hair shed more, but after two months without using it even one time, I had the same amount of hair shedding.

Years ago, I had some hair loss from one of the Matrix lines. I chalked it up to an allergic reaction and stopped using it before the hair loss got too out of hand. I never even occurred to me to sue anyone--heck I didn't even return it. Bottom line is, any hair product can cause an allergic reaction leading to hair loss. I think that because Wen has so many plant based ingredients that it may cause more allergic reactions than most hair products.

Ok, I just replied about my Wen experience a couple days ago. I just saw a news report about a very popular preservative called methylchloroisothiazolinone and other iazolinones causing a lot of allergies in people lately. The symptoms are similar to eczema, ie skin irritations, redness, peeling, etc. These preservatives are the last two ingredients in all Wen conditioning cleansers. I have a feeling this is the cause of hair loss in some people using it. I personally don't feel this is a big problem for me so I will continue to use Wen, but it certainly is something to think about. These chemicals can be found in a million products, like baby wipes, hand soaps, shampoos, etc. It might pay to read labels!

Don't you think maybe the ambulance-chasing law firm is widely publicizing this supposed "case" in order to attract additional litigants? Out of the millions of people who have used Wen for many years, there are six people attempting to get "class action" compensation. A higher percentage of people have problems with drinking water.

If there is a "known manufacturing defect" why haven't they provided it as "proof"? The lawsuit is directed at Guthy-Renker, but if there really is some weird "defect", wouldn't Guthy-Renker then sue the product formulators from which they licensed the products?
