happywenner,
Sorry about your un-welcome 'follower.' I have one also, not the same, but never-the-less.
Apparently we are providing 'busy work' for people whose lives are otherwise quite small.
Where's the deer?

has anyone looked into two chemicals in the SAM version or WEN?
one of the ingredients, MIT or Methylisothiazolinone, is toxic. Some exposed to it dvelop dermatitis.

I tried using it but after a few cleanses my hair fell out in clumps and like others thought I was't using it properly

I haven't read all the comments here, but in short, yes, Wen can cause Hair loss. I had to stop using it so has hundreds if not thousands of others. Use with caution.

By the way, I remember posting about this issue a long time ago and recall so many people were very aggressive and rather nasty about what I said. And all I said was that I was noticing my hair falling out a lot when rinsing.
This product is not for me and I will never buy it again nor recommend it to my friends. if the cost of it doesn't turn people off, certainly hair loss should!

Many of these same people's complaints online included descriptions of things such as itching, redness, etc - which are symptoms of allergies. Yes, there are ingredients in Wen that some people are allergic to (ie. menthol) yet so many people just can't and refuse to wrap their heads around the possibility that they could possibly be allergic to one or more of the ingredients, so they continue to write scathing comments about how Wen and never bother to ever actually find out what exactly in Wen caused their physical reactions. if someone is experiencing hair loss, the very first thing they should do is stop using Wen and consult a doctor to check for what could be in Wen that is causing a reaction instead of going online and whining . heck, if it happened to me i'd immediately be on the phone to my doctor - NOT going online and whining to a bunch of total strangers!
Actually, going to the doctor and having tests was the first thing I did. However, if you use WEN and suddenly notice tons of hair in the drain then when you stop using it there is no hair in the drain that pretty much tells you its WEN. After my tests came back fine, I stopped and started using WEN about 3 times, thats how I figured out it was causing it. Actually, I hear it can clog the hair follicle and thats what causes the hair loss.
Kerastase makes a cleansing conditioner like WEN and even they tell you to alternate with regular shampoo. There is no need to beat people up for sharing their experience!!!! Just as people come here and share their experience with cosmetics & beauty products, I want to know the pros and cons of everything.

Wen sells about 100,000 tsv's every time that they have one. If people didn't like this product they wouldn't sell so many products. Have you ever tried it? I don't understand the people who post these insulting comments. I understand that it doesn't work for everyone but many who use it love it. Prior to Wen my hair was always very dry and had unmanageable hair especially during the winter months when it is very cold where I live. Wen has really improved the condition of my hair and I have never used another product that works as well as Wen. People that use Wen aren't gullible but really like these products and wouldn't use anything else.
