Re: Unscientific Perfume Poll

My favorite perfume is Chanel Chance eau de Tendre- I do a very light spray of it and its the perfect blend of sexy, flirty and cute Smiley Happy.  I like that it's a light scent that doesn't linger too long and its a floral citrus fruity fragrance.

For me it's Pure Grace original. I still have the original in fragrance and lotion. I don't use much but I love it.

Re: Unscientific Perfume Poll

I loved perfume when I was younger but don’t wear it as much now but I have stuck to fragrances I’ve worn all of my life:
Fracas
Diorissmo
Cristalle - it’s been hard to find but Chanel, coincidently, sent me an email today that it’s back in stock. I purchased a bottle.
Cinnabar for winter holiday season or Youth Dew

I loved Lauren, White Shoulders & Tatiana when I was younger but are no longer in production

I agree that fragrances should be banned at doctor and dental offices. Any medical office or hospital. Some fragrances are offensive to some people, and some men and women wear entirely too much so that it chokes others around them. Please think of others, not just yourself.

I'm guilty. I know in my youth I wore my fragrances too strong and too much. I loved Oscar dela Renta for years and I assumed everybody else did too. Ha. They didn't.

These days I wear fragrant body lotions. I can smell it on my skin, but others, not so much.

how would a fragrance ban be enforced? You can't just say that without thinking it through. Will medical facilities have to start hiring employees to go around sniffing people? Then what? Somehow "prove" that the person they smelled is in fact wearing perfume, and not just nice soap or like you, "fragrant body lotions"? How will the alleged offender be judged and held accountable? I smell a bazillion harassment lawsuits pending. You can surely see the ridiculous nature of your position???

Re: Unscientific Perfume Poll

Well, it can't be enforced. Obviously. But I have been in medical and dental offices where there were signs on the wall or reception desk that said things like: "We appreciate that you not wear colognes next time you come." or "Please don't wear perfumes to our office."

I was in hospital 3 times since September. Two of the nurses on the cardiac floor wore very heavy cologne, like they were in competition to smell the worst.. I could smell them the second one of them walked into my room. Hello? I'm sick anyway with oodles of meds being pumped into my body. I asked one of them, "Do you know there are sick people here?".

There's a time and place for everything, including fragrance. Men and women should be aware that others may be sensitive to heavy colognes. Common sense.
