Re: Trish McEvoy makeup? is it better than the rest?

If you want to try something different give Laura Mercier a try. She has wonderful products. Trish is way too expensive. I have a few of her products but before she raised her prices again. Laura is still has affordable products. Love her foundation and tinted moisturizer. I also am fond of her Sheer lipstick collection, blush, eye shadow, primer, and her fragrances. Nordstrom, NM, Saks, some Macy's, Sephora carry Laura. Get samples of foundation to try out. She offers many different undertones.

Re: Trish McEvoy makeup? is it better than the rest?

Trish McEvoy has nice products, but to say they are better than other prestige brands is going too far. For some this may be a preferred brand, but I think most of us can find things we like very much from a number of brands. If you want to try something from the line I suggest going to one of her counters if only to see the colors and feel the textures in person. If you see something you like after testing, and it's offered in one of HSN's well priced sets, I would order from HSN.

Most branches of Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Bergdorf's, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor have a counter for Trish. On average, her prices actually are slightly higher than Bobbi Brown's and Lancome's.

Yes. I think it's awesome. Pricey but worth it. Gives a natural look. If your looking for a line that gives a more dramatic look or "heavier" coverage, I would say MAC is best. The only product I am not in love with is her mascara. I like Mally mascara.

Re: Trish McEvoy makeup? is it better than the rest?

If you like to "play" with makeup, and you buy a lot of it, you probably won't like this line. It works great for my fair skin and is about all I buy. I am not a makeup junkie and don't buy a lot , so it works great for me, it is neat and accessible in my planner, and very portable.

She doesn't have many products in her line, and since I don't need a lot of different colors, and want things that always work for me, I spend a lot less than I used to. Her products are excellent. I wear the tinted BB cream, and love her blushes too.

Re: Trish McEvoy makeup? is it better than the rest?

I've used her products for 20 years; the quality is there and there is not so much that you get overwhelmed- it's almost as if she's pared it down to what a woman needs to look fabulous and in the end, we don't need much : )

Her makeup shades are polished and classic, though they can be vamped up for a smokey/night out look. I suppose that's what appeals to me the most: it's no nonsense makeup for the professional woman who still enjoys getting her sexy-on.

Her skincare has some true hidden gems. Another person mentioned her GWP via her website and it's a GREAT way to try her products; I found my eye products this way. Nothing, up to that moment, worked like her booster serum and eye cream.. WOW is all I can say.

I find I don't spend money on makeup that often as everything I need is provided by her colors/products. I don't use her mascara or her foundation..everything else is pretty much by her.

Re: Trish McEvoy makeup? is it better than the rest?

I think she has a nice product, but I don't the difference in price is worth it. I've used her very good Eye Base, her cheek blush and her smokey eye gel with shadows. They're all very nice and expensive. I won't buy anymore, b/c I won't pay $80. for her small tube of CC cream, and she won't put it in a planner. The best thing I like about Trish is her selections of soft colors.

There are far too many competitors with very nice products, nice colors to pay for her name and success.

Re: Trish McEvoy makeup? is it better than the rest?

I have some of her makeup items and they are nice quality. Yes a bit pricey but nice makeup and the colors are very wearable. I especially like her lip pencils.

Someone mentioned Laura Mercier, I really like her makeup also. I bought a new palette and it's very nice. Her lip gloss is really pretty. She has some very pretty shadows as well and they are nice quality.

I still like some Bobbi Brown products too, although she just has come out with too much sparkle in a lot of her makeup now which has disappointed me. She seems to really be focusing on the sparkle products now and it is a big turnoff for me. I don't care for any of it. This has led me to purchase more from lines like Laura Mercier and Trish McEvoy which seem to cater to 50+ ladies a bit more.

I have also purchased some Charlotte Tilbury lately, and I like what I have. You have to be careful though because some of her products also contain a lot of glimmer. I have some eyeliner and lip products and like what I've purchased. I am close to trying a new palette from her but I want to do a bit more research and try to find some swatches so I can better determine if it's something I want.

I remember that, betteb! My favorites are Healthy Lips & Kissed Lips in her sheer collection. Unfortunately, she stopped making Kissed Lips but hopefully she will bring back.

I disliked it! Very drying and low pigment,
