I just ran into this brand while surfing. I'd never heard of it before, but would love to try a few of the fragrances, especially the "Dark" ones. Is anyone familiar with them?

I was gifted a tokyomilk dark lip balm awhile ago (a year or two?) and although I liked the scent, I really don't like the feel on my lips (spices maybe?). That is the only thing I've tried from the line.

I found their scents turned on me after awhile. I have a few of the Tokyomilk Dark balms: a spicy one and the rose one; LOVE THEM. Work very well under lipstick.

The only other thing I have/kept is their bubble bath (Paris). Love the scent but they pack it in a big GLASS bottle so having that in the bathroom is a HUGE no-no. I decant it.

The woman behind this line also owns Love & Toast. Her scents/products feature unique packaging but honestly? THe products are just average.

The scents are unique and I recommend trying them in person. Some I would fall in love with based on the description, but hated when I actually smelled it.

My rule for any perfume is to try it on in the store and then leave and give it time to settle and see how it reacts to my own chemistry. I'll go to another store, go out to eat, or even wait overnight. If I still love it hours later, I'll go back and buy it. Too many scents turn on me or I love initially but then hate later. I've made several purchases I regret and now I stick firm to this rule. The fragrances I love and wear the most have all passed this test.

I love this brand...Went by descriptions of scents (Tainted Love, Excess and Bulletproof) and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. ChynnaBlue was correct when saying the scents are unique. Very different than a regular perfume. I find that I usually go for the more "unique scents" but I would recommend.

I am loving the shea butter lotion in Song in D Minor. it sinks right in and smells delicious (wild orchid, gardenia, amber and orange flower).

I like unique scents, too, and just went to check out the site. I love everything about it! There's a store that carries it not too far from me, so I'm going to go check out what they have tomorrow. Thanks. :-)

Not a fan. I found them to be heavy and they turned sort of flat on me quickly. I'd say not a lot of depth to them, at least on me. I also thought they were priced too high.

I was intrigued until I got to try them in person. They are exceedingly strong and cloying fragrances.

Thank you for the replies. I don't think I'd ever buy a fragrance without at least testing it first. I bought a few samples of fragrances through HL and found they were nothing like the description.
