Have you ever tried Maybelline's Lash Discovery mascara?  It has a small, very narrow brush which enables you to get to the root of the lashes.  You are also able to get every lash and it gives you great length.  Check it out.  It is one of my favorite mascaras.  No clumping, no flaking.  any one else love this mascara?

This is also my favorite mascara. I have only used the washable, thinking about getting the waterproof. Beats out high end mascaras for sure.

I would like to spend less for mascara, but what's in it? At this stage of the game I need to use a product that will nourish my lashes, I don't know if the drug store brand will do that.

You can buy mascaras that will condition or you can do it yourself.  at bedtime, take a little argan oil and place on your fingertip and close your eye and rub across your upper lashes.  I do it frequently.  This mascara is not a thick mess.  It lengthens but it does not clump or get build up and easy to remove.  I have spend big bucks on some mascaras that are not worth $2.  If you really want a conditioning mascara, Estee Lauder has one that is wonderful.
