Re: Thursday's Makeup and Accessories

@monicakm   Always love hearing about your looks and seeing what you used and wore. I have the Chanel eye palette and used the "white" as a highlighter last night out to dinner.

Sorry to hear about your ring, but you're so lucky you found the stone. I love your earrings...mother of pearl? Beautiful!!!

Know what you mean about the doc appts. especially the last 3 wkks. and not finished with the final eye check on the 10th of Jan. to get the RX for new glasses.

Enjoy your weekend..

@monicakm I keep track of my diamond ring when not wearing it by sliding it on the strap of my watchband.

@Shanus

Thank you! I haven't tried wearing the sparkly White color as a highlighter. The YouTube videos I watched said that the glitter was too chunky but that it would look okay to wear as an eyeshadow. To me it would depend on where I was going if I wore the white glitter as highlighter. The other day when I was in an important Financial meeting, no glittery highlighter. If I was going to a trendy restaurant, I might.

 Yes, I was extremely lucky that I saw my diamond fall out of my wedding ring. Since I know where it is and it's safe and sound I'm really not in any hurry to have it put back in. I'm really enjoying the low profile more tonight ring. And yes the Kendra Scott earrings for mother of pearl.

Enjoy your new eyesight. Between DH and you I'm keeping my fingers crossed I won't need cataract surgery 🫣

I have a long hanging jewelry "bag" that hangs on the inside of one of my bathroom closet doors. It has probably 24 small compartments on one side and 24 on the other. I keep my rings, my earrings, and bracelets in these little clear compartments.  Very handy

Re: Thursday's Makeup and Accessories

Ohhh @San Antonio Gal, it's the highly controversial Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eye Illusion Duo.  The controversy was the price for two shadows and I think it was a legit complaint.  I wanted this "Still at the Club" duo but not bad enough to pay $42 for it.  Then Sephora offered another 20% off one order.  I grabbed it.  So much glitter (g).  More in the lighter shade.  NINE days.  It took nine days to get to me.  4th year as Rouge apparently means nothing.

Re: Thursday's Makeup and Accessories

@monicakm   When I do the white, I mix it with my blush high on the cheek  and rub it in my hand first to knock something off. It's not my favorite palette because that white glitter is strictly "party" like you said All my other Chanel palettes have 4 every day shades.

Not everyone has cataract surgery, but it seems more people than not...just when. The "after care" is worse than the actual 15 min. surgery.

@monicakm  -  The PatrickTa shadow duo is pretty, but 42.00 for two shadows is a bit steep.

Nine days to receive your order from Sephora is a long time - even during the holiday season.

@monicakm

How do you like the Dior foundation?  I just purchased my second bottle of Nars Light Reflecting foundation.  Since you've used both, which do you prefer and why?  It seems like no matter what foundation I try I run back to my Nars.  The finish makes me stare at myself almost unnaturally...LOL!

Re: Thursday's Makeup and Accessories

Wow @SurferWife, comparing Nars and Dior.  That's a hard one and I'm not sure I can answer it.  The best I can come up with is it depends on what you're going for that day.  They are both beautiful but the Dior is not as full coverage.  If I had to give up one, I think it would be the Dior.  I use both and enjoy both but Nars if I could only keep one of them.  Nars isn't "full" either tho.  Lancome is my fav if I'm going for a full-coverage glam look.
