Hi Friends,

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread all year. I appreciate your reviews and opinions so much!

Used up:

A Speciality Soap from a book subscription box- it was Lord of the Rings-themed. I enjoyed it. Replacing with a bar soap from a local soap company from the stash.

Gave Away:

5- 8 oz. Philosophy 3 n 1

NYX Lip Butter (Red Velvet) - on its last application. It’s a great red for a small price tag.

Dove Body Wash (Apple Cider Caramel) - used up, will pick a replacement from my stash in the AM.

Perlier Royal Elixir Pearls of Youth Serum - used one up and opened a new one. It’s a staple for me.

Assorted Perlier Hand Creams - I miscounted and ended up with many more than I needed. I gave the extras to DDIL to bring to work.

Hi beauty friends! Merry Christmas! I used up:

Wen 2 oz, cranberry mint treatment spray. Saving this 2 oz bottle for travel. Opening a fall Tuscan pear mist 6 oz. Love these treatment sprays. My favorite product from Chaz.

Elemis .5 oz sample of the marine cream. Just using up samples and such. I usually use Dr. D dream cream. I have one open. I think I'm out of travel size moisturizers. May have one more Clinique.

Not "used up" but well-used and just getting too old to keep--Dior e/s palette, and a Tarte e/s palette. Replaced with Urban Decay Naked II palette, it's cool-toned and I think it's going to be all I need going forward. Also tossed an old Laura Geller Palette that had e/s, blush, bronzer & highlighters. I have singles of everything but the e/s, so replaced with those.

Also will toss a Buxom Lip Cream in Dolly this week...have another waiting in the wings!

My makeup bag sure is looking empty, lol! But I'm retired, and don't really need all that "stuff" any more.

I haven't posted in a few weeks so this is for a couple weeks...not too much anyway..

Finished up the last of all my decanted small bottles (from my 64 oz bottle) Purity face wash. (I think I still have at least one, maybe two small bottles of it in my travel bags, which I keep there.) Wow...it took me about 3 years to finish all that, using it in the shower, by the sink, and traveling. I've decided to try Neutrogena gentle cleansing wash, so replaced the Purity in my shower with that...it's fine. I don't love the little bit of "medicinal" type smell to it, but it's fine...a little foam (they have a creamy wash too), the little smell dissipates quick, and doesn't leave my skin dry. Same affects as Purity on me.

Saving a little money, at $10-15 for a 16 oz pump bottle vs about $64 for Purity 64 oz., and I just didn't want another huge bottle of that at the moment. I used Purity for 20 years, but since I don't see my skin drying out from the Neutrogena, I may be switched for good. We'll see.

Not quite finished but on the final drops of...a lip balm that came in a travel kit. I have plenty others of various brands.

Colgate Toothpaste, have a Dr. Bronners non-flouride baking soda one, I'm alternating with it, to use up next.

I think that's it for now, though I am getting to the botttom of other things like my LGeller B&Brighten foundation...but that could last me 'til July the way it lasts and I use it up as much I can. I have a new one ready to go.

@lynnie61 Those treatment sprays were my favorite Wen product too, and I haven't treated myself to a new one in way too long! I stopped using anything else Wen years ago, because I was one of the people that "reacted" to it in a way where I was losing too much hair in the shower. And I just have other products, I love, that work best on my hair.

But I loved his refresher sprays and they came in handy to add moisture to my curls when I wear it scrunched, wavy. (I also wear my hair smoothed out with curling iron, bigger waves, that doesn't need moisture.) Or when I put a few rollers on top, sides, bangs to poof it out occasionally in between washes, I moisten it to set it with that. Plus the fragrances were light and very nice.

I have only one small Winter Chocolate Mint..is that the right name? Anyway, tucked somewhere in a travel bag.

Maybe I'll put one of those on my "wish list" for the New Year. Reason I hadn't gotten a new one...I bought a TILI kit last year, and it had a full size Chaz spray I've been using up. Not the same as those refresher sprays you mention, I think this was something else, (structurizing or something is in the name) but works similarly...it's not sticky, just moistens.
