So I never ordered one before and this one was only $19.99 so I got it and like it a lot. The samples made me laugh, they are sooo tiny. Can anyone tell me what exactly is Dr. Denese's Hydroshield suppose to do? It says on the bottle, Do not clog pores!! what? I don't get it. I have never used one of her products ever and don't know why! I don't know if I would have paid the usual $30+ though....I thought you got bigger sizes, but that magazine is the best!

That Hydroshield is a very nice serum moisturizer. It only takes a couple of drops. It may seem oily but it sinks in fast.
I love and I know lots of others do too.

That Hydroshield is one of the best moisturizers money can buy !! Don't laugh at the sizes, these are expensive products. You are only given enough to last about a month, enough time to see if you like the products and would like to continue to use them. Beside, you don't slather them on, it only takes a little to go a long way. Some people get them to use for travel purposes so they can keep their larger sizes at home.
The Hydroshield goes on your face first, right after washing, before you put any other product in the world on it. It really hydrates your skin, and no, it does not clog your pores, as many facial products do. It also has collagen and other anti-aging properties in it. it is marvelous ! Use it on your neck also. Lisa Robertson (and many of us) think it is the Holy Grail of first-line moisturizers even when we add other lines to it !!!I can't live without it, even though I use Argan oil and many other products as well. Serums go on after the Hydroshield, and then creams, etc. after that.
There was a time when you got the products plus a one-year subscription to whatever the magazine was for the price, a really sweet deal, but I don't believe that is so anymore.
However, the products you received are valued much higher than what you paid, and the magazine is a bonus too ! Every time it comes out they offer different products, and you can decide if you want them or not. It's a great way to learn about what the Q has to offer and what works great on you personally, as well as what you like or don't like , without spending a fortune to find out.
You can also decide if you want to "gift" any throughout the year as well. Sometimes the entire Test Tube makes a great little gift to someone for doing something for you !

I've bought the Test Tube once before and I bought this latest one because I thought the price was worth it plus it was free s/h which really sealed the deal. This way I can try some of the products without forking out a lot of money.
I really like this kit. I've used the Dr. Denese Hydroshield before and it's fantastic. I do use a moisturizer over the top because I have dry skin. I know some can use it alone as their moisturizer.
I've been using the Lea Journo shampoo and I really don't care for that. My hair feels very dry after I use it. It's very odd.
I'm going to try the Ole Henriksen peel this weekend. I've tried the Laura Geller liquid shadow. I got the mauve shade in my kit which is perfect for my green eyes. I like it alone or with a deeper color added in the crease.
I've not tried the CC cream yet except on my hand. It seems kind of light to me and it's the medium shade. I used the Mally gloss this morning for the first time. The color is identical to a LORAC gloss I have. Even the smell/taste of it is the same so I have to wonder if they are made at the same place?

They're samples. How big did you think samples were going to be? They're larger than almost all the samples I get from Sephora, department stores, or BirchBox.

I was going to post a thread on this! I tried the cc cream. I liked it so far. seems similar to my Clinique foundation. Not sure if I like the serum, moisturizer, foundation all rolled into one aspect. I will use it for a foundation. also going to check out the price of it.
I tried the DD serum. seemed nice and hydrating. the Geller eyelid primer is pretty dark for a primer. I got a smoky color. also went on a little dry.
all in all, the kit was a great value. I love sample sizes of stuff. more stuff for me to try. plus the free shipping. win/win.
if they had a option for monthly with a free ship, I would be in.

The Geller item is full size. I didn't even realize until I got the kit and looked at the insert that there were either 3 or 4 colors they would be sending out of this product. It was the luck of the draw as to which one you got.
I rec'd Lady Lilac and I think one of the other colors was Grey Gardens and then a brown or bronze shade.
