monicakm, I used the BBUE before using Tarte Shape Tape.  I always found the BBUE a bit to greasy and it settled into my lines even after setting with powder.  I use more product with Shape Tape but nothing like the You Tubers.  Shape Tape doesn't settle into lines like BBUE but it is very full coverage and the amount I see them using in the videos would look caked on if I did that.

Thank you!  Do you use a color that matches your foundation or a shade lighter?

I use a color that matches my foundation.  I also use the Tarte CC corrector underneath the Shape Tape because my dark circles are really dark.  My darkness is at the inner corner of my eyes between my eye and nose to about one third of the way underneath my eye.  I don't use any concealer on the rest of my undereye area.  I set everything with a light dusting of a powder foundation, not just regular finishing powder.  This works for me but like I said, my dark circles are really dark and I need all the help I can get!  This lasts all day and is water proof.  I use an eye makeup remover at night and it easily comes off.

@monicakm  I use just dab three little areas under eye or wherever I am using it. A little goes a long way. The only difference, when you put it on, you have to tap blend it right away as it dries quickly. It covers perfectly and stays put all day. Does not leach into fine lines either. I am in Georgia and was outside in 95 degree weather painting and the Shape tape stayed put. I apply and blend it over Elemis eye serum.  Hope that helps.

I wouldn't walk across the street for a glass of lemonade in 95 degree east Texas heat (and humidity)!   My hat is off to you Smiley Happy  Yes, thank you for your feedback.  I'm excited to try it when I DO leave the house on Wed.

I've watched the girls on You Tube apply the Shape Tape.  They really pack it on.  I'm used to using a very small amt of the Bye Bye Undereye product.  A little goes a long way.  Do you put it on like foundation (or more) or just a dab?

I've been actually using as my foundation...you don't need much, the coverage is wonderful, I just draw a few lines on cheek under eyes and blend...typically under the eye, I will pat it in, works best that way...depends on what look I want, but sometimes I put a decent amount under the eye, you have to play with it to get the look you want, some like it heavier,  Some like it a bit lighter...it's great stuff! Don't be afraid to play around with it...

Count me as another vote for Tarte!  It's replaced my Bye Bye Undereye as well as my other concealers.  I like the rubbery purple sponge, too, it's a different texture than a Beauty Blender.

Re: Tarte shape tape Contour vs bye bye under eye

I returned the Tarte Shape Tape as it showed every tiny line under my eyes and was also very drying. If you are over 50 you may want to pass on this one. I use an eye cream and am not dry under the eye, but this turned dry and cakey and showed everything.

@KoKo

If you are still looking for a great concealer Amazing Cosmetics has a duo which includes a setting powder. A301671 this was the special on BeautyIQ yesterday. The price, $30 is a 50% discount is the same but free shipping and 2 ez pays are gone now. (Ask! You might get lucky and have it honored by CS) The reviews are beyond terrific. Stellar. Check Google, Ulta, the company's website, utube etc etc and see for yourself. This product goes on like a second skin melding into flawless coverage. No creasing or caking. The line is relatively new here so there's only minimum reviews on items. There are videos of yesterday's three offerings. I stumbled across the brand and am delighted. This may be the ONE, my Holy Grail.  A little pin head sized dot goes a looong way. This concentrated highly pigmented creamy product provides long lasting complete coverage. They have other concealers with various features on their dot com site. One that provides medium coverage. (Illumination), is available on the Q with a video. And, by the way am in my mid 60's. You will be truly "amazed! "  HTH's

Re: Tarte shape tape Contour vs bye bye under eye

Key imo with Tarte shape and tape use sparingly. By the way! Regardless which area concealing remember darker conceals. Pleased hearing the rep from Amazing cosmetics explain why you should choose shade darker when concealing. More often women choose lighter shade trying to conceal dark eye areas, won't work! Lastly concealer should only be placed in the area needed not the entire under eye area. Of course! Suggestions im giving. 💁
