TSV Body Butter scents

Hi everyone- I wanted to pop on here to ask how everyone liked the scents of the Josie Maran body butters they ordered on the 24th?
I was going to order my all-time favorite Vanilla Bean scent but wanted something different so I ordered the Vanilla Raspberry.

Shipping was very fast and I just received it today. I am pretty disappointed with the scent as it is cloyingly sweet.
Josie described it as her vanilla bean base with a “touch” raspberry syrup. I smell the whole bottle of raspberry syrup. The raspberry is very overpowering.

Unfortunately, all of the other options are sold out at this time. I am going to return mine, and hopefully can exchange it for another option.

When I received the tub at home, there is a description of the sense in terms of the top, heart and base notes. I wish they would describe the scents with those words.

Anyways, for those of you who ordered the Peaches and Pears and Lavender Citrus, how do you like the scents?

I ordered the lavender citrus and the peach/ pear scents, but I haven't received mine either. Your Oder arrived super fast @Blue4 I wish mine were here.

@Blue4 - Glad you posted about the scent! I’m curious to hear what others think of the new scents. I purchased what I think was lavender citrus years ago but can’t remember for sure. Anyway, it was described as a wonderful spa like scent. I thought it smelled like chemicals and returned it immediately.

I wrote this on another thread but I have received both the Unscented and the Peaches & Pear, and have opened the Peaches & Pear.

I find the Peaches & Pear one also too sweet for really liking it, but it's ok and I'll keep it since none are available now, even on waitlist. I also didn't think it smelled like peaches or pear, but maybe some combination with a lot of sweet vanilla, and maybe a tiny bit of coconut. And maybe a little orange.

Too sweet. But it's ok. And of course it was a great price.

Do you have any concerns about applying a product with different scents over a large portion of your body on a regular basis? To be on the safe side I tend to go for the unscented choice. Does anyone have any information on this?

I haven't bought Josie's body butter in years but decided to try the TSV. I'm looking forward to trying them out when they arrive later this week. I originally bought unscented then decided to cancel to try the 2 new scents because they really talked alot about the scents not being super sweet or strong? Based on the 2 reviews posted above, it sounds like they may be too sweet for me. I'll wait and see.

Thank you for posting your reviews on the scents here!!! I look forward to reading more opinions as others receive these scents.

Ordered vanilla raspberry and it’s definitely more raspberry than vanilla unlike what was said in the presentation. I get very sweet raspberry candy.

I tried to order the peach & pear, but it sold out before my order went through. Curious how others like the new scents.

@Natureluvr it's strange how the lavendar options can smell like that. I ordered vanilla bean and unscented and hope they are OK.

The last thing I ordered with lavendar scent was a foaming soap from Harry Slatkin. It has such a strong chemical smell it is very unpleasant to me and the cats don't like it if I've washed my hands with it.

I have the lemon of the same soap and it has been fine. I should have returned the one that I didn't like but it was during the pandemic so I kept it.
