I've been MIA taking care of DH for several days and trying to catch up on comments and beauty threads.

Any questions or comments I've missed please page @Shanus. Thanks.

Thank you for helping so many!  I love to read all the comments.  My question today---I remember years ago a fad of using white eye pencil being used on the lower eyeline/rim.  What are your thoughts?  Thanks!

@pietook   I love that trick to open the eye, but white can be harsh and obvious. I prefer a light beige, ivory or off-white pencil liner. I'm currently using Benefit FAKE AWAKE.

@Shanus Hi, I don't have any beauty questions but I am wondering.... I have seen several posts directed towards you with beauty questions. (I think they were all beauty but I can't remember for sure).

I don't know the reasons behind asking you questions. Are you a makeup artist or something affiliated with beauty items? Sorry, I just don't remember seeing anything explaining your knowledge. No disrespect at all, you seem very knowledgeable, just wondering your background and your experience.

@cjm61   Yes, I am a working makeup artist with my own "practice". I started decades ago with make overs, print work and on models helping and learning with the head artists for shows, shoots, etc. Now I'm now doing mostly bridal makeup.

@Shanus , do you by chance have a website with any of your work?  I ask because we are nowhere near you but a friend's dd is getting married and they are going to do her makeup themselves so I was looking for examples of your "artwork".

@Wsmom   No, so sorry. I did many years ago when I was looking to keep up my number of clients. I'm winding down now and taking on less  brides than last year.

The "makeup" was turning into a "wedding planner" since when I arrived things were sometimes not going well and I was expected to fix them.

Anyway, congrats to your friend and her daughter.

@Shanus Very cool. I figured you had some kind of background as many posters had a lot of respect for your opinions. I will pay a closer look to your responses. Thanks.
