@San Antonio Gal  Oh absolutely! It is strange that she owns a suncare brand and doesn't use it herself- there's definitely a disconenct there for her.  I hope that she gets regular dermatologist appointments to check for moles since she is naturally pretty fair skinned and could be at risk for dangerous high level sun damage and skin cancer.  I am envious of her ability to tan though- I have an ivory skin tone and I just burn if I'm in the sun for too long Smiley Very Happy.

Re: Sun damage?

[ Edited ]

@Group 5 minus 1   I totally agree, but I will also add, keep

hydrated with water and limit alcohol and sugary drinks and use

moisturizers.

My grandmother, mother and aunts all had great skin and always

looked younger than they were. My last aunt who is alive is 93,

has always looked 20 years younger.

I was lucky to inherit those great genes. When was a young mother, I didn't like being mistaken for the babysitter, but now I don't mind having people think that I am much younger.

I have always protected my face from the sun and I have been

using moisturizer since I was 12. I have always worn sunglasses since junior high, because they were fashionable.

I had no idea that they would prevent lines and crowsfeet around my eyes, which squinting at the sun exacerbates.

In my 70's I started to see lines starting near my eyes. Being

hydrated and drinking a half gallon of water daily, has really kept my skin fresh looking.

I have not idea who she is unless it's Gwyneth Paltrow as another poster asked?

She's younger than I am. My skin doesn't look like hers & I have been swimming at the pool or beach almost daily since I was in 1st grade? I didn't use sunscreen like I should have either. When I did use it I used SPF 8 because you don't get Vit D from the sun when you wear a higher SPF. IMO we need sun it makes you feel better or it does me.

@Nightowlz

Are you extremely fair like Gwyneth Paltrow?  That makes a big difference, even if you do wear sunscreen.  I'm asking as a very fair person myself.  The more melanin in your skin, the better as far as sun damage.

Thanks @Natureluvr  I'm ordering  another sunbrella and I know it's funny looking but I dont care, lol.   Where we live there was a young man walking his baby in a stroller.  He was walking with an umbrella.  He was very handsome too and did not care.  I gave him a "thumbs up" ha.

@Pink123 I'm in the San Diego area and it's not uncommon to see people walking with umbrellas on a dry day. I've done it myself and don't feel self-concious at all.

@STYLE   She sure is and someone mentioned her hair here.  I too love it.  I've always been entranced with her in some way.  Her voice is great too.  A real beauty and I think she aged  quite gracefully too with a few minor tweaks which is just fine.

I know this os off topic, sorry but another beauty I always admired is "Gena Rowlands".  I just loved her in the movie with James Garner and Ryan Gossling. The name of the movie escapes me now but it was a true love story.  Rachel McAdams was in it too.

Funny, I know the characters but forgot the name.  It's memorable..duh. omg.
