I wear makeup every day. I enjoy the process and I look washed out without makeup. I keep extra supplies in my car and my makeup bag for touchups.

I am taking a sabbatical from corporate America right now, caring for my elderly mother and working on my PhD dissertation. However, I still wear makeup every day. I may vary the intensity of my eye makeup from one day to the next, but I always have my face on! And I thoroughly remove all makeup at night to let my skin breathe.
I just don't have the type of complexion to go without. If I could have a little bronzer, then light brow and mascara w/lipstick, that might be ok.

Once I retired, I gradually quite wearing makeup on a daily basis. Now it's only when I'm going out and sometimes only a minimal amount then. I still love it. But I love not having to remove it more.

When I was working I wore makeup but never liked it. I couldn’t wait to get it off as soon as I got home. Now that I’m retired I rarely wear it, only if I’m going out.

i work remotely so will use concealer if i go out and brush on some blush and an eye pencil. . i keep a little Trish makeup compact with me and touch up if needed.
i started wearing eye makeup at 15 and throughout my 20s and 30s i really leaned on having that "look" of perfect eyes and face.
i was about 40 when i stopped the morning ritual of layers of eye stuff and i feel at the time i needed to accept my looks without foundation, liner and mascara.

I'm more likely to wear it when I'm out with friends than at the office because then I'm not in a rush.
This says it for me as well. I recently retired, but for the 45+ years of my working life, 98% of it was working from either 6 am or 7 am. I've always been a light sleeper and the last couple of decades never get enough sleep, so an extra few minutes of shut-eye trumped makeup.
I have also always worn glasses, and discovered after 20 years that no matter how much time I spent "putting on my face" with shadow, liner, mascara, brow - once I put my glasses on 80% of it "disappeared."
At the point when I would wear full makeup (a rarity) and no one noticed or said a single word, I happily gave up the bother.

I'm gonna be working for a long time yet to come and I amost never wear makeup. Just don't have the want or time to deal with it. I do moisturize though.

Great post! I had begun to wonder if I was the only one left who simply found make-up (and hair styling, and clothes) so much darn fun! Nice to know I'm not alone.

This is me too, exactly. Lately though, I have been trying to wear a bit more, although, it doesnt seem to be more than twice a week. LOL. I do love it though and love the ritual. I just dont always have time for it in the morning. No way would it trump sleep if I needed it. I am grateful it is not a necessity for me and just something fun.

I wore make up when I was much younger. the works! then one day, I just gave it up. I felt it was too much trouble. since then, I've only wore lipstick, curl my lashes, and apply unde eye concealer. I don't think my skin is the greatest, but I get so many compliments on it. I honestly don't know why!
