Oh I bet that was so pretty.

I never use a comb or brush either.  After I shampoo, I blow dry in random swirly motions and use my fingers where needed.  I always like it better on days 2,3, and 4.  With the mousse and styling powder I use on day 1, all I do to "style" it is turn my head upside down and floof it with my fingers and it's good to go.

I don't need a magician.  She's done it perfectly many many times.  She doesn't style it in the salon.  I just get it cut and I know how to maintain it,  but thanks.   I love her so much as a stylist and a human.  I don't know what the problem is when I go in with a cut, that that hairdresser cut, and ask for the same thing.  Seems like all they would have to do is cut it like they cut it a month to six weeks earlier.  It's not the end of the world, just curious if it happens to anyone else.

I jokingly told her girl you gave me a salad of a haircut last time.

LOL.  Good way to just slide that tidbit in Smiley Happy

@monicakm.  As long as you do that, she probably thinks you're thrilled swith her work.  Watch her like a hawk while she's cutting your hair and correct her is you deserve her doing something wrong.

I can relate.  I went to one stylist for several years who was wonderful ... and her shop was just around the corner - price was great.

Anyway - she developed cancer - passed away.   Her sister did my hair for a while .... but it wasn't as good.

I couldn't "relate" to other stylists in the shop so I went elsewhere and found a Russian guy who was great for a few years - but then started acting like he owned my hair.  I left.

I tried a few different places since then ... and then the lockdown.

My hair is short and wavy - and since March 2019, I've cut it myself.

I"m saving a fortune and according to friends and family whose opinion I trust ... my hair looks great.

I give DD some general ideas then let her work her magic.

If your stylist isn't meeting your criteria, show them a picture, point out where your style needs to be fixed, or find a news stylist.

That's why I cut my own hair because it was always like a box of chocolates when I got my hair cut by my stylist....I never knew what I was going to get!

I use this device called the "creaclip" that I bought on Amazon to cut it....probably had it for over 10 years?
