Stench?? Witch Hazel has a smell, but it's not as bad as described (rotting eggs & burning tires).

You can find the Dickinsons Eye Gel for a lot less on ebay, but the first 3 indredients are witch hazel, water and alcohol, sounds a little harsh and drying for under the eye.

Isn't this stuff drying???  Can someone post and say whether it is?  Using it under the eyes -- I would think it would dry this area out and also burn -- have to be careful not to get in eyes, wouldn't you?  Thanks!

@AngelPuppy1  I recently purchased the Dickinson's Eye Gel and just wanted to share the product info on this thread (I seldom post), particularly since it has some good reviews. Of course, everyone is different, but I haven't found it to be drying or irritating, so far. I lightly apply it only to the puffy areas under my eyes and think it might have promise if given a fair try. Honestly, I haven't gotten consistent yet, and I think that's the key. It won't dissolve fat pads, of course, but for those who have puffiness from swelling, it might be of some benefit.

To those who are using straight witch hazel, thanks for your info, and I hope you all continue to have success. I might give that a try, also!

@OooLaLa

Thaks for the reply but I meant to ask about the regular witch hazel applying to the face. I read here that people really like it but I am concerned that it might be too drying.  I am glad that the eye gel is helping you!!!

My mom always said to use frozen metal spoons.  Never tried it, or witch hazel.

@OooLaLa @Thanks for posting about this product. I ordered it from Amazon, and then found it on clearance at TJMaxx! I am well stocked to use it morning & night!

I agree that given a fair trial it shows promise.
Thanks again!

@monicakm

I had laser skin tightening done to my eyes. That made such a difference. Also had a 'laser lift' done to the rest of my face and neck years ago. That was the best thing I ever invested my money in for a cosmetic thing. Laser  tightening is recommended for light to moderate skin laxity, not for someone who has severely sagging, bagging skin.
