I'm so out of the loop...why do women color the ring fingers in nail polish, different from the others? I'm just curious with no one else to ask.

Maybe some do...I don't. I always have all of my fingers the same color polish.

I do my nails always differently. I love painting my ring finger a pretty contrasting color. Or I may put a pretty decal on one of my nails. Today I am wearing turquoise polish just in time for Spring!

I always thought it was to draw attention to a ring on that finger. I've also seen it where the color might represent something important, for example pink for BC or purple for domestic violence.

@qualitygal Great question! @SilleeMee Thanks for the answers, which make a lot of sense. I like both the pink and purple reasons! If you think of more, I'm all ears.

@BirkiLady How about an Easter egg, orange or black for Halloween, red for Valentine’s Day..you could do it different for many reasons meaningful to you.

I saw a woman with one nail painted up to look like a ladybug...cutest thing ever.

@SilleeMee Now that you mention the lady bug, I have also seen that! It is adorable!!
