Last Saturday night, I did my volunteer work for a certain event.  I went dressed nicely as we represent a certain group, etc. 

While doing my work,  a young man (Security) around 22-24 came over and chatted with me.  He asked me what days I did my volunteer work because he wanted to change his shift to my hours.  I told him not to and to just do an excellent job at his stations.  He wanted us to get together sometimes.  Huh?  I could be his mother but he doesn't know it or ???  I do look and appear younger than my age of dinosaur but this guy needs a kind explanation of the facts.

Definitely sounds flattering but on the other hand, perhaps a bit creepy. 

Good for you for still having it going on if you will!!!

Yes, I will speak to his boss to ask that he not get his hours/day/shift when I am there.  He just needs to calm down.

He sounds like a guy that used to hit on me. I think that some people mistake anyone not treating them poorly as the person being interested in them. When I lived on the other side of town, I sometimes ran into a guy who would hit on me whenever I saw him and seemed to have no memory of it the next time. It was never, "Oh, hello again," it was always like he'd never seen me before. He knew never knew my name or my status, so for all he knew I was married. I would let him know each time that I wasn't interested. Once he commented on my red hair and I got the feeling that he hits on every red haired woman he sees because he hit on me while my back was turned and I was looking for something in the freezer section of the grocery store.

It was never flattering so much as it was disturbing because I knew he wasn't really interested in me, he never knew anything about me. That made it feel more creepy and stalker-like than flattering.

Security guards are bored and kind of dorky. imagine standing around or sitting for 8 hours doing nothing. can they even go online?  i think they can only read a newspaper.

he may like older women?  not unheard of.  if so, it's a compliment, but still i'd steer clear.

Well, not where I live.  It's the movie and television crowd and the guards are attractive part time male models, actors.  They have four hour shifts.  Most are college grads or in college.
