Sharing New Year's Day Beauty Rituals!

First day of the New Year and New Decade.

Starting the new year with a commitment. With joy.

What self-care beauty rituals can celebrate?

For me, today:

1. My favorite face peel, Lancer Caviar Acid Peel. Just discovered it this year and love the way my skin feels afterwards.

I've used SO many peels, many messy, harsh. This is an effective retinol-based treat.

2. Wonderful scalp scrub, followed by a delicious smoothing detangler that softens. Recommended to me by a friend who has been a fashion model, I adore this line of hair care, Christophe Robin [scrub lavant, cleansing purifying scrub with sea salt]. Our scalps get dry and suffer from fav-shampoo-build-up, no matter how much rinsing we do.

The gelee detangler is heaven; often use it after ANY other shampoo.

*** Many stylists admit they see build up or scalp dryness on clients, but don't mention it (not wishing to offend); bless those who do mention it.

Love to hear your New Year beauty rituals, whether tried-and-true or new experiments!

       Skin care, make-up, hair??

[ Edited ]

Just happens that Jan. 1st is a Wed. and Mon., Tues., Wed. I do an Exfolikate treatment in the morning. I'll use a clarifying shampoo when a get around to a shower because I had texturizing spray, hair spray and heat protectant in my hair last night...never do all that but used a lg. barrel curling iron to make defined curls and pin up the back 2" of hair I grew out. Never use all that product. May as well add some purple shampoo while at it. Makeup free today so face/hair will stay squeaky clean.

I like to start the New Year w/ a new sunscreen (to be sure full strength), new scrubby sponges/loofas (changed every 3 months anyway) & new dry body brush.

Not really New Year's specials, but I'm sure to start out w/ a clean slate...even did a mani/pedi yesterday.

Last night I did a face mask sheet from Japan. DS#1  GF is from Japan.  Every time she goes back she brings me skin care or make-up. Everything that is left in the envelope I use on rest of my body.
