Does anyone final rinse with cold water? My hair stylist told me years ago that if I rinse my hair with the coldest water I can tolerate, it will close the hair shaft, keep it from frizzing and leave it shiny. It works. I do this even in winter. Plus, I also learned that if you shower and rinse off with cold water right before you're done, it will close your pores and actually retain body heat (good in winter). Summer calls for tepid water.
Anyone else?

Pommom - Yes, I do my final rinse with cold water...quite cold. I don't know that it helps de-frizz my hair, but it does give it ultra shine. I have naturally curly hair and use Garnier Fructis Curl Calm Down as a leave-in product in my hair...otherwise it is quite curly and frizzy.
I had a hair stylist tell me this years ago too. She said that the cool water closes the hair shaft or something like that.

Caffeina - I, too, have curly hair that tends to get frizzy. Once I switched over to cold water, I noticed a considerable difference. It works wonders for me.
I use a microfiber towel and pat dry so as to avoid frizz created by rubbing with a terry towel and the combo is a hit.
I say go for what works for you.

It can't close the hair shaft. But it is better for your scalp and skin not to use hot water.

I have always used a final rinse of COLD water on my hair. It does keep the frizzies at bay, my hair looks shinier and it's a great "wake-up"!
