I typically don't like self tanner on my face. I use Tarte on my body, then just use a bronzing powder on my face. But I read such great reviews on this one I had to try it. Sephora Face Tanning Water. I have been using it once a day for about a week.

It is exactly like it states, it's water. No sticky, tacky, streaking cream. I wash my face and apply the 'water' with a cotton pad all over my face and down my neck. Once it has dried, I add my moisturizer and makeup. My face has a nice color, natural, no streaks, no smell, no dark marks. I have not had any breakouts from it. I LOVE IT. I am going to buy another bottle so I won't run out.

Hi & Welcome, sassy!

Thanks for posting about this. I've generally NOT liked any of the self-tanning products I've tried over the years, but I'm always interested to know about new ones. Especially for the face. Dr. Denese was on a few days ago with her bronzing drops for the face, which really looked interesting. I would imagine that these are like the Clarins drops that I've read about.

I will look at the Sehora product next time I'm there.

This looks interesting! I also like BE Face tanner, you can use it under your moisturizer also. It's gel like and applies easily. I haven't used it since last year, but I don't remember there being any smell to it either.

I'll look that up. I've been using the Tarte Maracuja bronzing serum and love it. (And I'm scared to death of self tanners. I experimented with a bunch because of an event last month.)

I tried the Clarins drops, but I broke out both times I used them a week apart. I liked the color they gave and loved that you could control the color by adding more or fewer drops to your existing moisturizer and was sad that they clogged my pores.

The Tarte serum has worked very well and I've loved the glow it gives me.

The Clarins drops are working great for me. I was amazed at the color that it gives. My skin really does not suffer from breakouts anymore. Will look at the Sephora water too.

Love the Dr Denese bronzing glow drops! Best tanner I have found for the face so far. So natural looking.

No thought is worth thinking.....

Does it show in your pores?

I thought this was pretty good but I think PC's is just as good but it is less $ and has no fragrance.

I gather the drops are added to whatever skincare you choose to apply them with, yes? How are they with darkening age spots and such?

I just ordered a Vita Liberata Face Kit and am anxious to give it a try. One of my biggest issues with face tanners has been how dry they leave my skin. And the dryness lasts as long as the color does. Since the whole VL line supposedly is very hydrating, I thought it might be a possible win-win but we'll see. Won't assume any success until I've given it a real go.

The Tarte Maracuja serum sounds promising as I believe that washes off but maybe I am confusing that with one of their other tanning/bronzing products. I did get the Tarte Rainforest Glow which is a temporary body tanner and the color is very nice. It would be great for anyone to keep around to cover up any orange tints, streaks, etc left on the skin, fading or to bump up an existing ST, real tan, etc. I used it to keep my professional spray tan alive longer and it worked great.

But it does wash off so it isn't a long term product.

To answer a couple of questions asked. No there is no color added to my pores, it goes on clear as water, and I have not noticed my pores darkened by this. I have hyperpigmentation on my face and I tend to go around that area, so I haven't noticed a change in that. Also I apply it first on clean skin with a cotton pad. It doesn't get added into other products. It dries quickly like a toner would, then I apply my moisturizer and makeup (BB cream). The color is subtle, gradual and I have olive skin, so I have seen the color darken quicker than some other reviewers who said they were really pale. Since I self tan my body, it's nice to have my face match without makeup. Smiley Happy or close to it. I would imagine if you use this twice a day the color would be quicker. It is 16 bucks if I remember right, for 4 oz bottle. pretty inexpensive.
