Re: *Screams* I can NOT get this frizz under control!!!!!!!! ++

My hair is always frizzy to, when it's not as hot and humid it's way easier to tame. I'm not sure there is a cure in certain climates. If there is, I haven't found it yet. I air dry too, my hair is naturally blonde, wavy, long-ish, dry and frizzy. It's fine to normal, but I have a lot of it, and it LOVES to frizz. Yesterday and today it hasn't been as bad, but it's been much cooler and not as humid.

Which CC is a lower glycerin than Fig? (to use for a leave in?) I've been using Fig for my dry hair, but maybe I should use something else for a leave in when it's really humid out?

Unfortunately, I haven't found a WEN solution. In very dry or very humid conditions I use Deva One Condition as my leave in (less glycerin than Fig), and whatever the weather I use DevaCurl Ultra Defining gel as my styler. ChynnaBlue has a product she highly recommends for frizz too but I can't remember what it is right now...maybe she'll weigh in, or maybe you can find it with the search feature.

I just took a shower and saw that Fig's 2nd ingredient is Glycerin, and TT's is the 3rd I think! I used SHP for a leave in, we'll see what happens.

SHP doesn't work for me, sadly (though the oil is my #1 favorite).

I use 40 pumps of the 32 ounce split in half for first and second cleanse with 3 pumps as my leave in (all of FIG). I use 20 pumps of the Kids WEN in Strawberry Banana on the scalp (split between first and half cleanse).

I suppose I can up the amount but daym, I'm already swimming in excess CC when I do this, lol.

Deva was ok but not great; I had to use the one for colored hair as the original isn't enough moisture for my hair.

Yeah, Deva's not great for me for cleansing/conditioning, but the OneCondition works well for me as a leave in when I need more of a gel cast.

Fig is a no no to leaVe in during the summer. Glycerin draws moisture from the air and my curls go POOF also maybe the SC isn't for you and you need something else not from the wen lineup for hold and style. Using ridiculous amounts of SC every time I wash just to control frizz would result in me buying 2 to 3 bottles a month. I don't have that to do. love you Chaz but not that much lol. As much as I'd love to use wen exclusively his styling products just aren't heavy enough for my AA hair,

I use Pom as a leave in or the kids watermelon along with my Eden body works coconut shea curl defining cream and a small amount of herbal essences hair gel. My hair lasts about 5-7 days with this combo.

I include the glossing serum when doing my styling products. I also carry a bottle around with me to apply to dry hair if need be. I swear by that stuff. My hair is different than yours but the glossing serum has really helped me battle with summer frizz. Sometimes ai also use a pea size of the finishing cream as well.

THANK YOU LADIES!!!!

To answer a few questions:

1) No towel drying. I use a micro-fiber hair cloth.

2) My hair is 28 inches long (give or take).

3) 8 pumps of the styling cream mixed with 8 sprays of the styling spray.

4) I have a hot iron but my goal this summer is NO HEAT. Yes, a hot iron would do the trick but....

5) I follow the curly girl method and do apply products to soaking wet hair.

The fact that I have wavy to curly hair doesn't help. It looks like c*r*a*p, to be honest. It feels like silk, the color is much richer too. I am debating cutting off 4-6 inches as the lower section of hair looks the worst but the fizzes on top ain't too great : (

No idea about Fig and the glycerin!! I'll have to play around with products, I guess. POM did nothing for my hair, Lavender gave lots of volume but worse frizz.

This shouldn't be so hard: having great hair, you know? *sigh*

That is a lot of styling cream, have you tried cutting back on that? I do not use cc as leave in, I reduced the amount of sc to two pumps, and I cool rinse - the cooler the better. My steps are sc, mousse, then glossing serum mixed with oil du jour. I air dry my mid-back length curly hair, unless I feel ambitious and blow dry with the brushes. Oh, I use TT first cleanse and Fig for second cleanse.
