Playing devil's advocate here, do you have the fizz problem when you use non-Wen products for cleansing? I have been plagued with frizz for 50 years, I have never found anything that completely controls it, WEN is at the top currently. In the past I used Ojon's Tawaka, the first incarnation that was runny, and it was my Holy Grail. Then he changed the formula and it all fell apart. Twenty years ago I was in love with a shampoo from Framesi, also discontinued. Living Proof did not do the trick, either. It is a never ending quest to find products for frizzy hair.

I would really like to understand, and I don't know if anyone can explain it...when I used Fig, my hair was the frizziest worst! Fig is supposed to be the most moisturizing. If this premise is correct, then I really don't understand why I was battling frizz after using Fig.
Also, when I used any of the flavored cleansing conditioners as a leave-in, that also seemed to exacerbate the frizz problem.
I don't have curly hair, just normal.
Anyway...thanks, expatgal, for your suggestions. All I know is that I don't have frizz problems now. After S&C (well, not just any kind, but still...) I still use Chaz's styling creme as he directs, and I blow dry with his round brush.

I have fine hair with a slight wave. this is just my experience. I can't use microfiber to dry my hair - it adds to the static electricity. I use an old jersey knit sheet cut up to dry my hair and that has helped with the frizz. Also, if I use fig all the time without switching out or mixing it with something my hair gets too soft. I like mixing fig with lav or BGT, with the lav or BGT as leave in. I didn't see where you put some cc back in as leave in? Maybe add some cc leave in with a few drops of oil, and cut down on the sc.

No, I don't! I use two sets of S&C that do not leave my hair frizzy in the least: Suave w/ Macadamia nut oil (argan oil Suave is ok, too, but no other Suave!) and Carol's Daughter Monoi. I still use Chaz's styling creme, towel dry (regular old towel - that's what they're made for). I use a couple drops of whatever oil I have -- macadamia or sesame or sometimes I use a pommade -- and gloss that over my hair as I blow dry w/ Chaz's round brush.
It's terribly humid now, but it doesn't matter what the weather is when it comes to my hair.
(I think I've read 50 different sites on how to control frizz in hair.)
To be fair to WEN, I did experiment with using different amounts, but many times I used plenty and still got frizz. (Two years of WEN!)
sahmlam and others, can you use other products without getting frizz?

Wow, great to see I'm not the only one, lol.
1) I have frizz with other products but if I use Biolage Hydra line, it cuts way back on the frizz (the old products NOT the new reformulated ones. However, it strips my color horribly so...)
2) I added more product based on what I had read on the WEN site forum. Lots of great information though I haven't been there in a year or so.
I have Kids Watermelon and S/B gallons as well as my FIG; I'll them as a leave in as well as the Remoist instead of the FIG.
Those of you who use oils in the shower; do you use the glass bottles or do you transfer the oil into something else? Or do you apply the oil to damp hair after you remove the towel?

I'm with ""expatgirl"" every step. Everything she wrote is what I do religiously to avoid frizz. I use the styling creme on very wet hair and then DO NOT TOUCH IT.
The only thing I'll add that helps me is that I use about 3-4 large clips to hold sections of my hair up while it dries. My hair is shoulder-length and clipping a few sections up helps the underside dry with waves and no frizz.
Also - if/when you must comb your hair (which is a gift to frizz) then wet your hands and scrunch halfway down. That will de-frizz again.

I found there is only one cure for frizz.... a keratin straightening in April that lasts all summer. It is expensive, but I save money and time on all those conditioners.

I've heard it mentioned many times during WEN presentations that if anyone needs extra help, just call their main number (which should be on the bottles or on their website) & talk to someone there. Why don't you give that a try, then come back & let us know how it worked out? Let's do our own quality control here
! Good luck!
