Re: SUGGESTIONS FOR HYDRATING SUNSCREEN....

To add to my post about hydrating foundation...now I'll probably start a new message for that...LOL.

But probably going to the stores would be the best way to see it, and sample it.

Re: SUGGESTIONS FOR HYDRATING SUNSCREEN....

Shiseido is greatly known for their sunscreen. They have line called “Urban Environment” all with hyaloronic acid. A few variations are is that one has Vitamin. C for brightening, one is oil free, another has more moisture. They are invisible and dry down in seconds and you would have no idea that you were wearing sunscreen. There is one in a blue tube that actually gets stronger when exposed to water and sun. The last suggestion is one that is popular with men and women is one that is like small deodorant. You can apply it on top of makeup and doesn’t disturb it. Men and women like that you can put it in your back pocket or hand bag. Many women don’t know that Shiseido is a company that is over a 150 years old. They put their money into research in lieu of advertising.

Re: SUGGESTIONS FOR HYDRATING SUNSCREEN....

@Dazlin I use Josie Maran's Get Even Sun Milk moisturizer on my face.  I really like it.  It's pricey but lasts forever and you don't need much of it.  Not greasy, sinks into the skin and your face just glows, but without being wet or damp.  I have average skin and it works wonders for me, oh and not tinted.   It's available on Amazon.

@Dazlin  -  I think that's a great idea to try searching for a hydrating foundation.  At least you can get samples at the store - unless it's drug store foundation.

With all the products she discontinued @LindaSal , hope this one doesn't get axed down the road.

I'm using Neutrogena spf 60.  I also apply a moisturizer, but it's making my face feel tight and dry as the goes on.

I really liked this sunscreen because it's invisible  and not greasy.  Make up goes on just fine too, but I think it's time to switch.  I don't like anything tinted, I'm very fair,  and prefer the ones that are NOT mineral only...I've found those not as effective.   Please pass on some suggestions that may be not be so drying...thank you!!

Hi @Dazlin

I use this Cetaphil but prefer EL Prevage. I'm also dry but I know you don't like greasy so the Prevage can feel greasy. However, it does absorb, it just takes a while.

For everyday and a quick makeup so, I use the Cetaphil. It also acts as a primer. It does not make my skin feel dry. Almost ALL primers do.

@AngelPuppy1 , the only other sunscreen I remember being nice was from Shiseido ...I think it was called Urban hydrating...but ill have to go back and look to be sure which one.  I believe I stopped because I got the Neutrogena original with E for my mom and I really liked the texture, feel, and the higher spf 60, etc...of course the price was great too compared to Shiseido.

I'm thinking  maybe a hydrating foundation on top might help 🤷‍♀️.

In addition, I have the issue of rosacea to contend with.  It makes my skin really crazy and I break out with red spots when something makes it unhappy!

Dr. Gross Mineral SPF50 Sunscreen. It actually makes my dry skin feel kinda greasy. I don't need a primer and I don't need to use a hydrating foundation with it.

Re: SUGGESTIONS FOR HYDRATING SUNSCREEN....

@Allthingsgirly67 ...I think the Shiseido sunscreen you mentioned is the one I had used.

I've been using Shiseido since I was in my 20's...and I still love it.  My absolute favorite is the Benefiance eye cream.  I try look for sales because it's a very expensive line, so why not shop around.

Only thing I'm disappointed is last time I used their enriched softener I broke out...now I see they added Castor oil to it...so im not going to buy it anymore.  They also have a regular one, buts it's not as hydrating...but no castor oil in it.
