me too!

Three closets full of clothes + is an eye opener for me, so here I am. I also have way too many handbags, and pairs of shoes that I won't even admit to the number of them! The funny thing is, when my husband retired, I made it a point to make sure that I didn't turn into a sloppy dresser, and to look nice every day, even at home. It looks like it got a little out of hand.
Cosmetics is also an issue. They are mostly the brand I use, because I love them, but have backups of as many as 3 per product. Signature Club A kits are so great, and affordable!
Food? My freezer has too much. I plan to use up what we already have.
Happy New Year ladies! May it be a prosperous one!

I'll join to help me continue to do this. I started this about three months ago. Paid off all credit cards, do not carry any balance forward, and wait 24 hours after I put an item in a "cart" for online purchases. I have found that if I wait that 24 hours, I usually don't go back and purchase the item. I also question if I really NEED something and not just WANT it. In addition, I have five large totes "going" at this time----Garage Sale, Donate, Keep, Trash, E-Bay. Each day I try to go through one drawer, one item, etc., and use these five totes. So far, nothing is in "keep".
Thanks for starting this. I'll keep in touch so I keep focused on doing better in 2015 with this.

wismiss ~ I just love your suggestion about putting things in your cart, then waiting 24 hours..............this is really a super strategy to use to curb spending and impulse buying!!!
I did this the other day with the LOGO TSV, put 2 in my cart, thought about it all day....never went back to purchase! Yay me ~ saved over $100 just by trying this technique!

I love the suggestion of using up food in the freezer! I hadn't thought of that one! It's just DH and I, and I have my fridge freezer as well as a chest freezer full of meat! I always tell people it's like we have 10 kids to feed. I intend to buy only what I need at the supermarket, and will use up the food in my freezer and pantry.

I'm definitely in. First of all, I have too much stuff. Some of it sits on my bedroom floor as it has no home. I'm especially addicted to purses. Second, work in my field, (childbirth education), is drying up and I may be forced to retire soon so I need to stop spending.

Mine will probably be a short-term commitment.
