I have taken bags of stuff to 2 consignment stores and have been trying to donate weekly to the pantry, they take clothing as well. I still need to get rid of so much more! I love my handbags, but when I have paid so much and they are used once or twice , I find getting rid of the bags which I so love impossible. Suggestions? PS hubby growls a little but he has his own stuff he needs to part with, for Xmas he bought me the coach bag with the stage coach on it!

I just posted on Lola's thread that last january they all really helped me to clean out and curb and cut back on spending so it can be done.

I'll tell you what I'm committing to. I do like to try new beauty products but I have decided to stick mostly with what I KNOW works for ME and stop trying new things just because they work for others or I think they look great on other ladies. Sometimes I want things to work so much for me, I neglect to see that they really aren't flattering on me. For example, no matter how many different formulations of eye liner I try, the best thing for MY needs, is a gel pencil eye liner. I don't do well with cream liners or a bunch of different colors! I need to just stick with a coffee brown or a lighter cocoa brown and stop buying other shades. I rarely use them, and I just end up gravitating back to the brown liners. I mostly will use a charcoal liner or some shade of bronze or brown but I have realized I need to stop buying bronze and charcoal and just use brown. I think it's most flattering for my eyes, I can wear any color of shadows with it. I think for me it's just fun to try something new but I am NOT skilled at using cream or shadows in a pot I have to apply with a brush. I end up using it for a while, then going back to my pencils. It's just best if I don't buy any more cream or gel pot shadows. So that's one of my "things" for 2015, just buying the pencil liners that I know I will wear, need and love and that work for me vs. trying things that I am not very good at applying and colors that aren't best for my everyday needs.

Hello all. Looked early this morning for the start of our new group, but got busy so just got back in and here you all are!!!

I was so inspired yesterday after joining this that I went right in and cancelled my orders I had made the previous day here . It made me feel so good to know that I was finally doing something to try and curb my online shopping. I really don't have trouble with shopping out at the stores, because I hate shopping with all of the crowds and going from store to store. I think that is my problem. Online shopping makes it way too easy and that is my weakness.

Hopefully we will all be able to give each other support. I plan on reading this thread everyday just to keep up my resolve.

I just cleaned out from under my bathroom sink and my linen closet. Who knew I needed that much self tanner? Some of the bottles are years old. If I put it on now, I'd turn green!

I feel as though I accomplished something!

Yayyyy!!!! Good job. We are all very proud of you. I already donated alot of my clothes but I think I need to go through my closet again. My sister has a ton of makeup, nail polishes, self tanners etc that I swear are atleast 5-6 yrs old. I think I need to motivate her to clean it all out. Have a great day.

Count me in! I'm retiring at the end of May, 2015 and I have to stop buying clothes, jewelry, and beauty items. There isn't one thing that I need. My first goal is that January will be a no buy month for me. I'm also really looking forward to de-cluttering and organizing.
