Odd Reaction to Matrixyl Serum!!!!!

I used to cocktail several Isomers serums morning and night. Now I am using Retin A and Obagi 4% hydroquinone at night as per my Dr's rec and find I can no longer use Matrixyl serum, even in the morning. It burns my skin. I can still use Vitamin C and Stem Genesis, but the Matrixyl won't work now that I am using prescription creams at night. Anyone else have this happen?

If you are using Retin A or 4% hydroquinone have you noticed any other skincare items you can no longer tolerate?

Re: Odd Reaction to Matrixyl Serum!!!!!

Both Retin-A and 4% hydroquinone are very irritating to the skin and can cause skin to be sensitive and reactive.

Re: Odd Reaction to Matrixyl Serum!!!!!

I just started using Retin A about two months ago. (.050) and have worked up to every other day now but I do use Isomers Matrixyl serum on the nights I don't use the Retin A. I also use Isomers Vitamin C serum in the morning but I have not tried hydroquinone.

I use the Skinn 24 hour cream over my various serums at night, sometimes combined with oils, and I have not had much irritation unless I get too close to the areas the Dr. says to avoid.

I watched a you tube video by Hot & Flashy where she shows how to apply the Retin A which explained a lot that I didn't know about why it should be applied to certain areas of the face, chin, neck etc.

Eta...However, when I tried to use the Retin A every night I did have irritation and had to stop everything for a few days. I only used my oils for the few days after because everything did sting.
