Hi Suzy-I like a few products from the M. Asam line on HSN. They have products that are called Hyaluronic Night Cream, etc. Products come in blue packaging. I have tried other things in the line, but everything else seems to be highly fragranced. The blue line is really nice. Also, SkinCeuticals makes a few products that deliver nice amounts of hyaluronic. It's a fairly common skin care ingredient, but you have to look. Also, if you type in Hyaluronic serum on Amazon there's one I've had my eye on--which I think is a dupe for the pricier SkinCeuticals one-that's reasonably priced. Comes in a glass jar with a dropper. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

When I was diagnosed I checked around and found online a Dr Cynthia Bailey and bought her soap and Replenix CR and it has really worked, I'm unable to put in the link but google her and she has a lot of information and I don't have any affiliation with her at all she lives north of me in a very upscale area and I've been very happy with this cream and soap and other cream scrub for as she says "barnacles" . She is undergoing cancer treatment I just got a notice incase you do call or write her with questions.

Her cream I use at night is great also....

Thanks RAC71. I just learned about Paula's Choice and started using that a week ago. I have been on metro gel and finicea for about 10 years but never knew how/when to apply. I have taking turns using them at night when I have a flair up but I was not using anything else (like a moisturizer) and my face would be so dry by the morning and would crack and peel. I went to my Derm in December and they gave me a prescription for Oracea. I have been on that for two weeks but do not see much of an improvement. My face has really been broken out and extremely dry for about two months now.

Has anyone tried Mirvaso. My doctor also wrote me a prescription for that but I have not tried it.

Ladies perhaps you can help me also. I have redness also but I now have small under the surface bumps on the sides of my face - temples and cheeks. The bumps are not like acne, there is no head. They look like tiny pearls under the skin. Could this be from rosacea also?

I think you're describing milia, which can range in size but are white with no head. I did see one site that lists rosacea patients as being more at risk, but I don't know how credible that is.

I have had rosacea so many years ago. When I have a serious flare-up, my symptoms are like others...very red with what looks like acne or bumps. It is awful and I feel for all of you who struggle with this condition. I have had many prescriptions for rosacea...usually an antibiotic to take orally and a cream. IMO the creams do nothing but maybe calm the redness. The antibiotic does help, but it takes the full course to see the results. My rosacea is exasperated by stress and I know that. I have not had a serious outbreak since I retired (hmmmm see what I mean about stress?), but I still have the pinkish red color on either side of my nose and a bit out to the cheek area. IT ByeBye Redness, with a light dusting of ByeBye Pores, does a beautiful job of covering this. BUT, when I went to the derm last month for my annual body check up, he told me there was this new drug (gel cream) called Mirvaso, that totally eliminated redness from rosacea and he would give me a prescription for it. It is not a rosacea cure, it is for the redness associated with rosacea. The caveat was that since it is so new, many drug insurance co. won't cover it and it is EXPENSIVE ($395 for30 grams). He gave me a sample and I was stunned. Within 30 min all redness gone! So I went to Costco and asked about a prescription for it and my insurance DID cover it....so it was $3.75!!!! I immediately thought they made a mistake, so I gave him $4.00 and didn't wait for the change! hahaha. I use such a teeny tiny amt. that this tube will last a year! You do have to use it everyday....the redness comes back. If your insurance will cover it, I say definitely give it a try. You have nothing to loose.

I forgot to add, that another reason why Mirvaso may or may not be covered by your insurance, according to my derm, is that the FDA sees it as a "cosmetic" cream....since it reduces or eliminates redness and doesn't really correct the underlying problem., and many insurances do not cover cosmetic prescriptions (example: Retin A).
