I'm a big fan of Perfect Forumula and Pro Strong! Works for me every time.  Noc chipping and lasts.

Re: Revlon Nail Polish Rant...GRRR!

I LOVE Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Polish!! I must have over 10 bottles! Its the only polish that lasts forever on me. I bought some phenominal base and topcoat polish that I use with all of my polishes. That's the reason why my nail polish stays.

Can you please elaborate what brand the phenominal base and topcoat are? Thanks!

@NYC SusanYou really should reconsider the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri line, particularly if you are a cream polish only girl like me.  Many YT reviewers like most of the cream formulas from the Insta-Dri line but I don't care for a couple that are jellies within that line.  I am a cream only girl.  Always have been.

Since I am unable to do a polish change for the next two weeks due to my crazy schedule, I am giving the Revlon polish one last college try to see if I can make it more chip resistant by putting on a nail hardener as a top coat on both hands after I reapplied the nail polish properly on those nails that chipped.  We'll see.  I let you all know.

Sally Hansen just isn't for me - I've never had luck with anything in that brand.  Reviewers might like the creams, but they didn't last on me at all.   Honestly, I don't put much stock in reviews.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I know that a lot of people like Sally Hansen, so I guess we all just have different experiences.  I'm very happy with Zoya and the other brands I buy.

I use OPI and Julep, both have great staying power without chipping.

I use Sally Hansen Miracle Gel and I usually get 10 days to 2 weeks with it. I usually take it off by then because my nails grow fast and I have a big area that doesn’t have polish.

I've not had any problem with Revlon-knock on wood.  I really like Avon nail polish, especially their gel line.  It's inexpensive and holds up until I take it off.  I usually leave the color on my nails for 5 days and then wait a day or two and change colors-my nails grow quickly and I am ready to change color.  The Avon gel line comes with a gel top coat and I have had really good luck with it.

Re: Revlon Nail Polish Rant...GRRR!

I feel your pain as I also will not buy Revlon polish anymore.  I hate their brush, too.

I feel ALL nail polish should come with a fan brush.  I tool the Sally Hansen bottle to my pedicurist, and she could not get over the quality and the brush.  Even called her coworkers over to tell and show them how nice it was.

UPDATE:  Even with a nail hardener as a top coat, the Revlon polish has begun to minimally chip with just two days wear, though to be fair, the hardener has helped the severity BUT still chips.

I think for those who have narrow finger nail beds the narrow polish brushes are easier for them to apply polish. I, on the other hand, have a wide finger nail bed and the  SH Insta-Dri application polish brush is a three stroke application for me which I love!  I did a detailed review of this polish line a couple of pages back in the Beauty section.

When a nail technician calls over co-workers to see a box store, inexpensive polish and raves, then you know you have a winner.  I am going to check out a couple of the other neutrals from SH that I want to look at besides the one neutral I already have.  Thanks for your feedback about this polish.
