Question for @JeanLouiseFinch......

I was wondering I have read that you use Elysee & Skinn. I have heard that Elysee is leaving HSN. So my question is: What Skinn products do you use? I have used Elysee for years, but if they leave HSN and I have to buy from their website I don’t think I will be able to afford it. We get such great prices from HSN. I have been really interested in Skinn. I was following Dimitri James when he was on Evine. (But don’t shop on Evine. Now that Skinn is on HSN I want to purchase. Can you help me.....70 years old, normal/dry skin, typical wrinkles, slight sagging in neck area. My skin is pretty good due to using Elysee for almost 8 years. Where should I start? I keep my regimen pretty simple. Many thanks.....🙋🏻❤️

Hi, @Naturesbeauty  - I am saddened to read about Elysee leaving HSN.  I've been very happy with my serum trio but, like you, will not be able to continue if I have to purchase from their website as they are significantly more expensive.  Funny your question should come up at this moment in time.  I've recently been tossed back and forth, questioning myself about what I should do skincare wise - stay with what I'm currently using, return to Alpha Skincare, or try Boots No,. 7.  With Elysee leaving, that could actually help me in making my decision.  I do have some time to think about it, though.

Skincare is such a personal thing.  What one person likes and has success with, the next person might not.  So, with that said, you can take or leave anything I'm about to say.  I don't like anything that feels heavy or greasy.  I try to use lighter weight products in the AM and my heavier, more moisturizing things at night.  My favorite Skinn products are:

AM & PM Cleansers -  I've been using these for several years.  I don't use the PM version as my PM cleanser on a regular basis because I have something else that I'm partial to, but the PM cleanser can also be used for a moisturizing mask.  I'll do that after a peel or during the winter.  Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice, gentle cleanser, and it smells great.  The AM cleanser does have a distinct scent that you may or may not like.  I don't find it offensive at all.

Flash Flood mist - I like to mist my face after cleansing and then I apply my serums.

Serums:
Oleo Anti-aging Serum (I actually consider this more of a moisturizer for me, and find that it's plenty when I'm going to do makeup and use a BB or CC cream.  It's very lightweight and gel-like.  It's made from all the nourishing parts of genuine Greek olive oil but without the oily part.  The oily part gets extracted during the mfg. process)
Age Reset Serum (for the face) - there's also one for the eye area but I don't like it.  I use the face one all the way up to my under eye area.  This is a gel-like consistency too. I will either cocktail this or layer it with my Elysee serums in the morning or use it at night before the Pep 40 serum.
Pep 40 Serum - this has a 40% peptide blend, which is our friend for firming.  This is my PM serum.
Neck Amour Serum - this one comes in two formulas; redensify or define.  You can look on the HSN site to see which sounds best for you.

Moisturizers:
Pep 40 Creme Riche - this is my PM moisturizer.  It comes in a pump jar and 1 pump is generally enough for me.  Someone who is drier may prefer a little more.
Collagenesis Deep Wrinkle Protocol Body Butter - this is an excellent body cream but after someone here recommended it as a neck cream I tried it and it works great.  I know the company can't make medical claims but from my own personal experience, it has done a fantastic job of softening a scar on my neck, left from ACDF surgery I had in December.

Exfoliation:
DermAppeal -  this does have a strong menthol scent that some people find overpowering.  It isn't offensive to me.  Besides using it on your face, you can do your elbows, heels, etc.

You will need to do your research and decide accordingly, if any of these products are suitable to you.  Since you can be dry, you might also look into the Hydro-Vital serum and/or moisturizer.  I have no experience with them.  Many people like the Collagenesis Deep Wrinkle Protocol Creme Reverse too.  You may want to go to the Skinn listings on HSN and watch the product videos.  You may also find useful information onthe actual Skinn site.

Another thing you may consider for your sagging is a good marine collagen supplement.  I take NeoCell.  Topically applied collagen treatments don't really work, but oral marine collagen supplements will.  It has to be taken on an empty stomach so I take mine at bedtime.

Good luck.

ETA -
How could I forget the Lip 6x Serums?!?!  I have both, the original, and the one that's called pro-volume.  The original goes on at bedtime.  I also have one of them at my desk and will either use a little of that or some of the Lip 6x Balm, during the day.  The pro-volume one, is a nice before applying lipstick.

I like some of the makeup products, but not all of them.  I won't detail that since your concern was about skincare.

@JeanLouiseFinch.......Thank you so so much for taking the time to address my question. I am going to order some Skinn products and try them. I really like Dimitri and he seems to explain him products in great detail. I have his DermAppeal and really like it. It does an amazing exfoliating. I am waiting for his next visit to HSN. Do you know when his next visit is?

Sorry to butt in.,, Where/when/how did we hear Elysee is leaving HSN? That would be sad if true.

You're welcome.  Dimitri is back this week!  You can find the Program Guide on the HSN site.  Once you are on the landing page, scroll all the way to the bottom and look for the link.

I agree. @Porcelain !  I ended up DM'ing them via Facebook Messenger, to see if it's true and when it's going to happen.  I'll let you know if/when I get a reply.

@JeanLouiseFinch @Porcelain  - this was my biggest concern when Q took over & elysee products started appearing in clearance. sad if it’s true!

I heard it thru an email from Linda. Not sure on when they will be leaving. She was going to update me in the near future. Very sad 😢 I have been using Elysee for 8 years this month. We got such great prices thru HSN. Maybe they will go to another shopping channel. We’ll see......👀

Oh no! That's got to be difficult for Linda and her family biz. I hope they have a good plan to keep marketing their skincare. It's good stuff that deserves more attention.
