I also use the QVC price + $10 formula ..... a lot of times, it's just not worth it. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Same here and then most of the time I decide not to order. Also, I agree with other poster about how misleading they are with "you can get it home for XX amount." They don't tell you it is 5 payments of that amount and also the amount for one "easy pay" doesn't include the tax and shipping costs.

You are paying for the convenience of shopping from your home, you just have to decide whether it's worth the extra money. I do not care to shop in stores, it takes a lot of time and the sales people are not much help with selling product, you need to know what you want and do your home work. Also, unless you shop at WalMart the stores are not happy when you return something and I don't want that hassle.

I find Kohl's and Macy's very good about returns. I had a blanket I ordered from Kohl's for Christmas of 2013. Didn't give it after all and returned it in late 2014 and had no problem. Macy's doesn't even ask why you are returning an item. I can return locally to both of those stores so I don't have to pay for shipping and I do enjoy visiting the stores occasionally to browse. Nordstrom has free returns too and they have good sales on cosmetics.

The plus $10 is a good way to look at it. When doing comparison shopping, the total price paid needs to be compared. As far as QVC changing their policies, they will do so only if the current strategy becomes unprofitable. I'm also disappointed in the decline of quality in most of the clothes lines. Would love to see some clothes made out of natural fibers rather than cheap polyester.

Which is exactly why I don't order.

A lot of times it is more than $10.00. A Tarte kit for $59.94 with shipping and tax added was $73.74.

Ten years ago I did order most of everything from qvc, but now I am smitten with many other websites or buying at shops from the mall.

I have no problem with S/H if it something I can NOT find, i.e., the last bed topper from a week ago. O mentioned this also a week ago about an eyeliner or mascara having a S/H of $4.57 which I know I could so for under $1.25

The topper was $21.00 and well worth it, saving me time and inconvenience to foot shop. I just do not order that much from here anymore, and when I do it's around holiday time; I have limited time and the ease of t v shopping, at hectic times, is really okay with me.

I agree...........add $10.00 as an addon -which includes tax, s/h and I suppose that box or plastic folder costs at least $1.00. The S/H here, I do agree with the majority is very high compared with almost every other website.

I've never had a problem returning an item to a brick & mortar store. For example, Chico's has a sixty day return policy, much more generous than QVC. Nordstrom, Kohl's, Costco allow items to be returned at any time for any reason. I could go on, but to say that returning to b&m stores is a hassle is misleading.

I just don't understand how a billion dollar company can charge $7 for a 5 oz top that you can see through. So many other sites offer free shipping, Nordie's of course always free so I shop there a lot.

But even HSN and ShopHQ seem to offer 2.99 or free shipping on many products., Can't remember when QVC had a whole day of 2.99 shipping. I think HSN did that the other day.

I'd love to see their financials and know how much revenue they take in from S&H charges alone.

I'm done with P.C. Just say what you mean and mean what you say. It's easier.

I look everywhere else before I order from qvc. I have to really love it. I don't understand why shipping is so expensive, except that it's part of the income for qvc.

So do I, and 9 times out of ten, I find it elsewhere cheaper!
