@chiclet - I too am a Laura Geller B&B fan, but another one I love is Voodoo makeup foundation.
I bought it here and really liked everything in the line. Of course QVC discontinued it. But you can get it online. You can also call and talk to the owner Aimee for recommendations. She has helped me with color choices. You can get a sampler kit to choose from.
It's more of a cream to powder, and you can control the coverage. It's cruelty free and made in Louisiana. You can find it demonstrated on You Tube. You can also find QVC videos of it, but the ones I saw didn't go into much detail.
I have combination skin too. ![]()

I like Alima Pure . They have 45 shades and 5 undertone ranges . They have only 5 ingredients . The best part is they sell $2 samples and Find your match sets for $24 . The set includes 10 samples, a kabuki brush and a $10 credit toward a full size powder .

@SilleeMee - I like PUR 4-in-1 pressed powder foundation. Hsn carries it. It doesn't have any drying talc and it contains some active skin care ingredients plus shea and vitamin E. Many shades to choose from. There is a shade finder on the PURCosmetics dot com website on the banner at the top of the homepage under DISCOVER.
@SilleeMee - I saw this today while browsing at Target where they now have an Ulta, they were out of the shade I wanted, was not aware that it did not come with an applicator, which is the best way to apply with a sponge or brush?

Pur 4-in-1 is on sale today on Target's website for $17.70 (reg. $29.50). I recently picked up an extra on HSN, but I'm going after another from Target. That's the best price I've ever seen.

Lancome Dual Finish powder foundation.
It's the most popular in the world and so many shades as well.
I too could not use Bare Minerals.

So many of the brands I used have been discontinued - so I"m back to using Cover Girl.
Perfect shade.

I have used Laura Geller's Balance-N-Brighten for years and I really like it. It looks best over one of her primers. I actually have to use porcelain and light together to match my skin.

Another fan of Pur 4-in-1. I use the Real Techniques powder sponge to apply it. I used the color match tool on the website. Then I went to Ulta to try it in person. The color match tool had helped me pick the right shade!
I do have to wear a primer under it, because I have extremely large pores. Right now, I am using Benefit Porefessional Lite and also using Covergirl pore minimizing primer. Honestly? While there's a difference in texture and how they apply, the results are the same, and the Covergirl is significantly cheaper.

I think a flat-top buki brush is best for the PUR powder. The PUR brand buki brush is made just for it but if you already have a flap-top buki then go ahead and try that.
The reason why I say that a brush is best is b/c the PUR powder foundation looks best when its buffed into your skin which, btw, looks better as the day wears on.
