- Like others have said, Treat her like you did before you heard the news, lip balm and peppermint or a hard candy is sometimes nice to have. Think mouth/throat get dry.

What a beautiful thread. I lost my BFF 15yrs ago to cancer. She remains a bright light in my life. When first diagnosed, she made a list of things she needed. (super organized.) I still have it. Our daughters were the same age, so my tasks were to help with child care. Others helped clean her home, one made her favorite dessert; angel food cake. I gave her a soft fluffy robe from her favorite place, Nordys, in her favorite color. Yellow. I can still see her in it.
